The scene sets the tone for the murder, suspense and revenge drama to follow. Saira is a happy-go-lucky orphan, working in a bank in Mumbai. She is wooed by a real-life Prince Charming; in her case, Rohan Mallik (Ruslaan Mumtaz), and they soon get married. A cataclysm disaster befalls her seemingly blissful world, when Rohan is killed in an accident. On closer inspection of the accident pictures, Saira realizes that things are not what they seem. All clues point to the fact that what was made to look like an accident was actually a murder..

Produced by Vikram Bhatt, this is his quintessential work, packed with lots of unwanted drama and conspiracies. 'Zakhmi' is the story of one Saira, who loses her husband in an accident. What follows is the unveiling of a bigger scheme of things at work. How would this battered-to-death woman avenge herself and her husband sums up the entire premise of this show. Overall, it's okay-ish honestly. Watch it if you have lots of free time and can't possibly think of something fruitful.

To stop Saira from snooping around, a menacing goon with kohl-lined eyes, MK (Peeyush Suhaney), tries to threaten her into silence. When she resists, she is kidnapped, gang-raped, beaten up and left to die inside a closed car that is locked up in a container bound for Hong Kong. But our heroine survives and vows to revenge the murder of her husband and the atrocities perpetrated on her. Her quest takes her from a casino in Macau to a palatial house in Mumbai, and even into an arms-dealer’s den, in the outskirts of Mumbai.
Arbaaz Ali Moghul has done a pretty neat job of directing the series, while credit for the story goes to Vikram Bhatt himself. There are quite a few needless songs in the show, which tend to distract the viewer, rather than adding value to the proceedings. They were best avoided, in our opinion. But, the deed, as they say, is done, and nothing can be done about it. Tia Bajpai has done a commendable job as Saira. She adds credence to her character of a wronged woman, out to get revenge. She deserves credit for putting in a measured performance, in a role that could very well have been reduced to an over-the-top, screechy, shrew-like caricature. Vipul Gupta puts in a restrained performance as Mohit, though he could have infused a bit more vitality and verve into his role. Snigdha Akolkar was just about average as Amrita. Ruslaan Mumtaz just doesn’t cut it in a negative role. The sooner he realises that he’s tailor-made to play cho-chweet, chocolate-boy characters, the better for him.
All-in-all, the series is quite a decent watch. Despite being riddled with loopholes, the plot manages to grab your attention and keep it.

Zakhmi is an Indian thriller series by Vikram Bhatt (VB on the web). It portrays the story of a woman out to avenge her husband's murder. Promising to be a thrilling ride, it instead is a bumpy. The show has no saving grace and not even one department which can be praised. The acting is substandard and direction is immature which makes it look like a bad film student project. It is a half baked product which delivers nothing. The show begins as a sinking ship and meets it's end in the final episodes. Not recommended.

I am not a fan of Vikram Bhatt’s movies , never have been and his new web originals Zakhami made me even more repellent to his direction be it movies or web series.
The series starring newbie actors and they disappoint. Their faces have no expression which in turn doesn’t make us realize the graveness of the situation that the “thriller” episode is trying to portray. The background score is clichéd upto such extent that they are underwhelming to the shots. The dialogues are also far from being acceptable with a very old and poetic type of Hindi that too when the character is very modern and have an accent in the way she is speaking, it makes us question the logic in this film. Scenes where the main character is running just after “freeing” herself from the hospital bed which was meant to treat her since she couldn’t even move after an attack from a mob also makes us wonder the credibility and common sense which should have been inculcated in the series from the beginning. It is disappointing, however If you want to watch a series with a very amateurish acting and storyline with even a unbelievable presentation of characters and the use of makeup then go ahead watch it. #bad #wasteoftime #dontwatch

Awesome work done,the story line is really good. Furthermore, much appreciable acting by Tia and team. Most importantly both the songs "Zakhmi" and "ye Pyaar ho na khatam" were just great to listen. Tia is fantastic, Haunted is one of her career's best performance till date. Nevertheless the series is great, despite being predictable it kept me engaged, it is so we'll settled that it can really connected viewers towards itself. Apt title, considering what the lead character went through, Tia must have been an unanimous choice. The expectation has already started. Just one negative point that I noticed is that the trailer showed the whole story, there was no suspense left.
