I really liked how Mani Ratnam intertwined the three stories, and some of the action sequences in particular were excellent.

The acting was very natural, and some of the best I've seen of Abhi, Kareena and Ajay. Just not my favorite Mani Ratnam film. It was just hard to watch Abhi beating up Rani. This was my second time watching -- I turned it off the first time after a beating scene.
