Overall a mess.

There are some really good Teen Rom-Coms out there. This definitely doesn't make the list in my opinion.

To All The Boys:P.S I still love you is a sequel to the 2018 movie, To all the boys I've Loved Before, both being book adaptations.

The prequel basically starts off with the two leading characters pretend dating. Firstly, so that Lara Jean (the female protagonist) can parade it around to her elder sister and her sister's boyfriend. Secondly, Peter (the male protagonist) can make his ex girlfriend jealous. This sequel follows up with Lara and Peter still dating, except a new person being introduced, John Ambrose. He was a recipient to one of the five love letters written by Lara and secretly sent out by her younger sister.

This movie was pretty disappointing and honestly did not seem to live up to the hype and overwhelming response the prequel received. The movie felt rushed and incomplete. Peter acted like an asshole throughout the movie throwing his toxic masculinity around, lying and being secretive about meeting his ex girlfriend even though he had a "valid" reason for it. While Lara was out there confused and emotionally leading on John, her middle school crush and purposely not telling him about having a boyfriend. At the end of the movie both Lara and Peter instead of sitting down and communicating or bonding, they both just threw around some cheesy lines and got back together. There seems to be no growth or conflict resolution. It Is still confusing as to why Lara ended up with Peter as their chemistry was literally non existent throughout the movie and even after evidently stating that she felt more herself around John rather than with Peter.

Something felt really off with the way the dialogues were delivered making it really awkward and uncomfortable to watch, dare I say cringe. It hardly delivered any sweet or heartfelt moments.
