'Thinkstan' is set in the colourful advertising world that is apparently not free from the biases imbibed by a common man, almost effortlessly, through time. The class divide particularly, that is perhaps best embodied by the English vs Hindi struggle is at first subtly hinted at and then allowed to form a coherent structure. However, with a good story and brilliant actors like Mandira Bedi, Navin Kasturia and Shravan Reddy, a lot more could have been done yet wasn't. It would have made perhaps one of the best shows, had the script been more nuanced. However, it's still a nice one-time watch.

This web series represents harsh realities of 90's life in a #humorous and #LOLFunny sense. Apart from being #entertaining on one place it is also really boldly represented on the other and this is what makes it unique and out of the box . It represents story of 2 guys at a famous Advertising Agency the English-speaking Hema played by Shravan Reddy and the Hindi-speaking Amit played by Naveen Kasturia. Both of them have excelled their roles with their natural acting skills. Overall I can say that this series is binge-worthy yet it would get somewhat boring in the middle but the end is quite interesting.

A show based on the daily happenings of an advertising agency is not something we’ve seen in the Indian web series space before, so naturally, it’s something we’re rather curious and excited about. Plus, the interesting star cast only adds to its appeal. The series features two characters in the lead. Naveen Kasturia of Pitchers fame, essays one of the titular characters in the show, along with Shravan Reddy. Mandira Bedi, who was last seen in the film, Tashkent Files will be playing an important role in the series and the 11 episodes boast of an ensemble cast with actors like Satyadeep Misra, Vasuki, Shraddha Musale, Jayashree Venkataramanan and Anandita Bose amongst others.
Thinkistan traces the story of a small-town guy, Amit (Naveen Kasturia) who joins the agency as a Hindi copywriter and tries hard to be heard among all the English speaking people around him. On the other hand is Hema (Shravan Reddy) – an English-speaking, suave city boy who charms everyone and talks his way through all the big opportunities at work.
The core conflict in the show is the linguistic politics prevalent in the industry and the divide that comes with it, which is both stark and unfair. It explores the equation between colleagues Amit and Hema – which is tested by the dirty business of advertising.
The power of Thinkistan’s gripping narrative shines through in glorious, vivid Technicolor, like an oasis in a barren desert, beckoning viewers with its promise of storytelling nirvana. And viewers, parched for captivating content, can’t help but gravitate towards it in the hope of blessed succour.

Personally, I just loved the title of the series "Thinkistan"...
Though the concept is an old Hindi medium average looking guy in a trending society. What all he goes through and obviously humour makes and works its own way!
Even the concept is old but it is shown in a different angle and feels one as a 'new'.
The contradictory part is awesome!
The dialogues are hilarious.
There is also an emotional touch and makes addicted to the characters!

this webseries has a gripping story and feel good story line. He actors acted really well. The plot and story lines makes you crave for the next episodes. The relationship between hema and Amit has been potrayed Soo well that people tend to forget how contrast their big characters are. It's drama but audience will die to know what will happen next. It can be watched once or twice. Pretty entertaining.

Naveen Kasturia nvere fails to bring his A game
Basing someone's worth on their familiarity with a hip vernacular or rejecting someone based on their inability to communicate using "cool" foreign reference is a scary prospect but not an uncommon one. Workplace biases have existed since forever and have forced many into working beneath their potential. Thikistan addresses these biases and also hits hard on so much that's wrong with currently prevailing toxic work culture.

The show opens with Hema (Shravan Reddy) composing a short ballad about quitting his job in the automobile industry to pursue his passion as a writer in a famous marketing agency. Parallelly, Amit (Naveen Kasturia) a Hindi writer from a small town with no resources to sustain himself has his sleep interrupted by cops while laying on a public bench. Both of them start their job as interns, but Hema soon garners astronomical rise in his career, while Amit is stuck at a lower position despite his innate talent and dedicated work.

Storylines are engrossing and follow the lives of the protagonist engagingly, always leaving the viewer wondering, what's about to happen next? Performances are strong, convincing and Navin Kasturia brings his A-game to portray a complex character who has been prejudiced against and pushed around.

The show is a highly recommended powerful watch with a thought-provoking subtext.

We live in a place where a person’s intelligence is measured by his fluency in English and his status is measured by the brands he wears. This is how superficial our society has become. Thinkistan is set in the city of Bombay in early 1990’s, a crucial era for advertising in India. The story is based on two polar opposite men Hema and Amit. Hema is the city bred well educated and stylish guy who is automatically considered to be the life of his company. Whereas Amit is from an impoverished lifestyle whose opinion does not matter much because of Hindi speaking existence. I am not a big fan of the show because it is prolonged way more than necessary and is quite repetitive. Though, Amit still manages to take everybody’s heart with his simplicity and innocence. I just wish he was given more screen time.

i am just in love with it, and i am sure you will be too. Main credits goes to the story and the #cinematography . From the start to the end , everything is #entertaining and #insightful . Not even a single episode missed an emotion to carry to the audience. This series was #classic , #clever and moreover it is #stylish . Being in an ad agency , they have shown what exactly should it be like. Many a times it makes us #emotional and sometimes makes us #feelGood and of course sometimes #hilarious . This is what i call #bestOfDrama and every one #mustWatch this series. Every one is living up to the character and at the moment it became so interesting , we have to see what's to come in future. i am still smiling with joy . great show

Underwhelming
Thinkistan is an Indian comedy web series by MX Player. The show is about a marketing agency and st in 1996. Apart from being explicitly mentioned that it isset in 1996, there are no real references. Naveen Kasturia is brilliant as Amit Shrivastav. One thing the show handles well is the English vs Hindi complex. Apart from the performances there is nothing to keep you hooked. The writing is a massive letdown which wastes the actors, characters and the premise. Skip it.
