Spenser Confidential Review

Spenser Confidential is an Action and comedy packed movie that stars Mark Wahlberg as Spenser and Winston Duke as Hawk.

Spenser a former police officer of Boston gets sent to jail for a period of five years after he assaults his superior. The movie reveals that the superior was holding back evidence that could incriminate the culprits who murdered Gloria, a victim to the violence.Spenser the do- gooder just wanted to set things right but just made it worse as usual. The same night Spenser is released from Jail, the Superior who he had assaulted is beheaded along with another Boston cop,Terrence Graham who gets later framed for the murder after he apparently "committed Suicide." Spenser who was going to move out of Boston once again cannot stay away from trying to find out who actually killed the Superior. He teams up with his roomate Hawk and together they embark on a journey to uncover the criminals.

Mark and Winston are the iconic pair who have teamed up in various other movies such as "Mile 22", "Lone Survivor" etc. They compliment each other but this movie fell short of that compliment. It was slow paced and felt utterly predictable. The action scenes were choppy and sloppy. There is nothing new a about the concept on which the movie revolves around. It is audience friendly but not good enough to be the talk of the town.
