I've been following The Viral Fever (TVF) since last one year. I have watched all and rewatched many of their videos and eagerly wait for new content every week.

Recently they announced their first TVF originals drama feature, "Permanent Roommates", and I was hooked by the name itself.

The promo looked good too.

The show starts off well, with Mikesh who comes back to India and proposes to his long distance girlfriend Tanya for marriage. This begins their emotional journey that even threatens their relationship at one point in the show.

This show does well in all areas of creativity and execution and one can't help but fall in love with the lead actors, and relate to their emotional journey. Especially the adorable simpleton Mikesh who also, along with supporting actors (especially Pathik and Purshottam) fill up this emotional journey with well timed humor that makes this show a delight to watch. Moreover this show is about Mikesh and Tanya and their relationship, no unnecessary hurdles by parents, caste, religion, society or similar sources.

While the length of the episodes range from 14 minutes (first episode) to 38 minutes (final episode), I'm glad they didn't restrict themselves to have uniform length episodes which may have forced them to compromise on the quality.

Did you notice the two rings interlocked into each other in the word "room" in the title?! That's pretty cool !! The opening sequence of this show is also quite good !!

There are just too many emotional and well timed comic moments that it would be unfair to talk about them here. Moreover, the proof of the pudding is in the eating, and this pudding is an absolute delicacy. I am no authority in show business, but being a lifelong ardent viewer of sitcoms and romcoms, I can vouch for Permanent Roommates as one such show you can re-watch and experience the same delight and warmness.

Strong points: The lead actors, the supporting actors, the direction, the script, the comic timing, the music, and leaving me wanting for more.

Weak points: Only 5 episodes!

Best moment: The video Nikesh makes for Tanya's birthday. There are many more though.

It does leave few questions in audience's mind, like will Mikesh and Tanya get married, and who is Tiwari?!

While I wish this show had come earlier, this is the best time for the inception of such a wonderful show, since TVF now has nearly a million followers on youtube, and such wonderful shows that they've promised to continue making in future, deserve large audience.

After watching Permanent Roommates, I am fully confident that TVF, who have given us top quality humor in the past, are well on their way to excel in other genres as well.

P.S. - Ended up watching all the 5 episodes again while writing this review. :) :)
