Mammootty as I have never seen him before. While Anjali is on a ghost writing assignment, she discovers the story of an inmate who has never left jail after his sentence for a double homicide has finished. The warden uses him as a personal servant. Anjali writes an article about this prisoner, and his philosophizing which garners national attention. Eager to capitalize and make his story into a book, she puts up Rhagavan into a secluded room and sets him to write his story, and why he proclaims his innocence.

Anjali gets desperate as her deadline nears and he has written not even one word. While she seems to be "saving" Rhagavan, instead she has put him in a new prison, and shows her selfishness. The ending is a complete jolt, after a subtle, masterful performance by Mammootty.
