I admired it but didn't love it -- and I usually like Mike Leigh films. Timothy Spall was great, but the subject wasn't the nicest person, rejecting his wife and children and stringing a widow along. The cinematography, however, was exceptional. Various exquisitely lit outdoor scenes captured how Turner saw light and the world around him.
