A Classic Tale Redefined at the best.

After hearing the title, you might think about the 1976 classical love story. You're right, but this time that same old tale has been told in a very fresh setting. Unexpected love, family barriers, but freshness in its narrative makes it truly original.

Plot:

The plot is very predictable. A boy and a Girl fall in love, their familiesare against this love, they are being separated, and all romance. Its all the same.

The screenplay is quite fresh and engrossing. It'll keeped you hooked to the plot. The narrative is good.

Acting:

Avinash tripathi steals your heart. He is just the talent bollywood deserves. It might have been a tough role for him, but he nailed it perfectly. Majnu's romance, his heartbreak, his madness, he nails each and every aspect of his character.

Tripti was also good. Her role wasn't that challanging, but she did justice to her part. rest of the cast did a decent job.

Music:

It is the TSP of this film. All the songs ofthis film are melodious. O meri Laila might have become one of my favourites. Aahista was also good. All the songs did justice to the screenplay.

Cinematography:

Sayak hattacharya has perfectly nailed the cinematography of this film. The wide valleys of Kashmir, the lakes, all looked so enchanting. Hats off to this man.

Verdict:

If you are in need of a romantic plot which actually does some justice to its theme, then this is the perfect watch for you.
