Missing DDLJ? Here's something special for you.

One can easily state that this is probably the last movie of "Romantic-comedy" genre era which was started in the mid 90s with THE Shahrukh Khan movies. This movie directed by Imtiaz Ali is a real entertainer. The story moves around a Mumbai boy(Shahid Kapoor) with a rich background who has tasted failures recently. He gives up all his ambitions and leaves for a no-destination journey where he meets a flamboyant, talkative, humourous and a street smart girl named Geet(Kareena Kapoor). Their frenemiship starts in a Delhi bound train in which she is travelling to Bhatinda at her native place. Shahid Kapoor delivers one his career best performances in the movie. His expressions are just flawless. The dialogues are very well written and the timing is just perfect. The story moves at a normal pace and keeps the viewer always excited about what is to come. Kareena Kapoor proves her versatility in the movie with another mind blowing performance which made her won the national prize. The role of Tarun Arora (Anshuman) is a comic one. He has been portrayed as a dumb ass who always screws up things and makes the plot interesting. The movie proceeds further as a love triangle between Aditya(Shahid Kapoor), Geet and Anshuman where Aditya madly falls in love with Geet their frenemeship which starts in the train. Aditya helps her reach home safely. After few days, Geet and Aditya run away from her house where Geet goes to Shimla to meet her lover Anshuman and Aditya returns back to Mumbai as a childish, much stronger and a fun loving person. He takes the business on his storm and takes the company to new heights. The climax is much of a bollywood type and brings a smile on the viewer's face. The movie is full of punches and humourous jokes which ensures that one enjoys the movie to the fullest. The movie comprises of good and sorrow moments which makes the movie a bit more balanced. Music is just adorable as one would expect from Pritam and co. Cameos from Dara Singh adds to the star quotient. All one can say is that it it's a must watch movie with ever loving on-screen pair of Shahid and Kareena sharing some sizzling chemistry with each other. Nobody can regret watching this movie,
