I Am Not Okay with This Review

I put on this show thinking it was just an average teenage drama. Oh boy was I wrong. This show literally slides through genres quicker then you can change clothes. From teenage drama to dark comedy to Sci fi(yes you heard me right!Sci fi)

Now let's get this straight, in every teenage drama there is this protoganist who's basically stuck in the middle of a whirlwind of her problems or basically drowning in a pool of self destruct. In this show her name is Sydney Novak.Having to deal with the stress that comes with being a teenager, a social outcast and being seen as a freak. She also struggles with severe anger issues and anxiety attacks especially after her father's death. Her relationship with her mother is strained as the only "communication" they have is picking at each other's nerves. At times like this she turns to her best friend Dina for comfort who she immediately catches feelings for but rather executes those feelings on her loose cannon neighbor, Stanley.

But in all this the turning point is that Syd's got Psychokinesis powers which in the start she was soon to dismiss it as "coincidence" when she basically made her nemesis nose bleed or made bowling balls levitate.

The best part of this show is that the casts actually are teenagers who look and act their age and the theme feels very much 80's. Unfortunately the episodes are short but the last episode that ends with a cliffhanger shows that Syd's charecter is in for a huge charecter development, with her adventures just begining. The scrip has very well layed down the path for greater things. Also the dark sense of humor and the sounds effects are definitely worth your time.
