A very bold movie, set in the aftermath of the unfortunate Gujrat riots,which unveils it's deep impact on lives of Hindus and Muslims, rich and poor alike. One of the earliest movies, where Nawazuddin was given a considerable screen share and he doesn't fail to deliver justice to it. The tense and gloomy tone throughout is unmistakable, and yet the movie ends on a bleak streak of hope, that is the happiest ending possible in the given scenario. Nandita Das' direction and the overwhelmingly talented cast make it a must watch. |
