'Criminal Justice'plays out the crime investigation, courtroom intrigue and prison horror in bouts of brilliantly written scenes by Shridhar Raghavan. Criminal justice tells us about the subverted judicial system is far more relevant than the 'thriller' intentions that plat out on the surface of this edge-of-the-seat crime drama.

While every actor is in-sync with the dark gripping mood of a crime that is not as simple as it seems, no one gets it better than Pankaj Tripathi. He plays a sleazy low-down lawyer slimming it out at police station pimping for desperate clients, Pankaj brings to his character a mortal centre in spite of his seeming dissipation. Its good to have Jackie Shroff in this series and he seems to enjoy the character which is very much in his 'beedu' style.

The series, after Aditya(Vikrant Massey) is jailed, is divided into two distinct parts. In one we follow the criminal trail of the incident and the other half follows Aditya's journey in jail and how he transforms completely.

The best part of the show is it's intriguing and completely congruent with the style and tone of a crime series. The series also finds substantial support which increases tention and soothes inwqual part.
