The movie is a gem. Its another symbol of the maturing bollywood industry. May be its about time the industry took more risks and attempt at unconventional movies like this.
For me, the movie worked well in all departments. The patriotic bit, the direction BYTE, the editing BYTE, the acting bits etc.. :) And, I hope that this movie provides some food for thought to the corrupt (well, I know thats a lesser word, but let it be) administrators in Indian sports bodies. And to the people out there, remember people like Dhyanchand once again and may be produce more of such...

I was really young when I first watched this movie but after I watched it I literally got an #addiction for it because I loved Shahrukh Khan in this movie. His acting skills were amazing and besides the King Khan each and every actor played his/her role with such great sincerity. This movie is truly #inspiring and #touching . Though being #entertaining it also makes you #emotional but proud. This movie also potrays Women Empowerment and how women undergo different struggles and hurdles in order to accomplish their dreams. Shahrukh Khan is the coach of Indian Women's Hockey Team who is supposed to coach a group of girls to play for the Nationals, and he does his job really very well.

We can all name our favorite cricket player, NBA golden leader, football star, actor etc. Can anyone of us really say anything about the world of Hockey, a sport that was invented in our country? Like, who's your favorite player in the Indian Hockey team? One would be lucky if the person being asked gives more than a blank look. There will be some who mention Dhyan Chand, legend of the Hockey world in 1979. But, can you name a single female sports star? No, I think not.
Chak De! India is not only a patriotic, inspirational story of what the modern day world of sports looks like, it is a torch that throws light on the mass patriarchy, discrimination and downright cheating that goes on in our country. It is the story of one man, coach Kabir Khan, a dishonorably discharged hockey player who returns to the world he once lost to try and save his family name once again by coaching the women's hockey team.
It is an eye opening view into the world of women in sports and the obstacles and harassment they have to face. It shows how players from across the various states of our great country put aside all thought of race, creed and religion, leave their families and social expectations behind and pursue their passion for the sports and come together as a team to achieve victory and success galore. Truly motivating with excellent accentuating sound scoring and sound track and well delivered dialogue delivered with the legendary finesse and excellence of none other than the Badshah of Bollywood himself.

Bollywood badshah"sharukh Khan"made audience go crazy about his acting again.The story is about Indian hockey team(girls)how lethargic they were and what change their new coach(sharukh Khan)bring in them.He will transform them to a powerful team through his experience,knowledge and the girls acted and justified their roles.The final match make every Indian hold their breath and pray for their success.

Ever wondered what lies in the mind of a true sportsman if he /she is alleged,blamed and mistreated on the basis of religion .If you want to witness the first hand experience of anger and frustration of true Indian, you are opting for a right movie .This movie as it unravels touches upon many interesting problems and facts of the country .Prioritising men over women in field of sports, making dicrimination against popularity of cricket and hockey etc.The story makes you feel patriotic to the top extent when we witness how players from different walks of culture,class,ethnicity shed their differences and unite to play for their country.The rise and rise of the labelled "underdog" team India ,is a treat when we see how Kabeer Khan (played by Shahrukh) trains the team to win world cup and washes the stain put on him (as belonging to the country,with whom our country doesnt share friendly relations with i.e. a traitor).The maturity of Shahrukh as an experienced and goal driven coach is amazing .In the end , the way Indian women's hockey team wins against Australia in world cup is amazingly visualised which makes you cry and excited and this movie keeps the audience glued to their seats from first to last second.

one of the most inspiring and motivational movies i ever came across. srk's most convincing roleplay till now.The movie emerged as a star in cinematics stating the importance of womans in hockey or sports

the 60 min session is a quite impressive which really #inspiring and that thing has moved me too a lot and #mustWatch feeling was quite often again and agian whenver you watch.this also show about not underestimaing the talent of others and we should respect it.

This movie is nothing without Shahrukh. Sometimes you think that a movie would not have achieved what it is if someone was not a part of it.The movie talks about a hockey Indian player who was boycotted by the country as he was not able to score in an important match against Pakistanand he shook hands with the pakistani captain after the match. So, everone thinks him being a muslim he deliberately missed the goal scoring chance on the penalty shoot. This changes his life . After 7 yearshe comes back as the coach of the Indian women Hockey team and leads the team to win the world cup amid all the problems and controversies . The movie is a cult classic and is one of my favorites not just because of SRK but because of the story. The biggest win for the movie is when in the final match during the national anthem everyone stands up .The movie is just awesome...no words to explain

Based on the life of Mie Ranjan Negi, Chak De India is a film not just about sports but the dignity and spirit of a sportsman. Kabir khan,a hockey star,who is Muslim by birth and played for India,once unfortunately committed a mistake in a crucial match which made him garner the title of 'Gaddar'-a backstabber who plays for India and lets Pakistan win! Chak De is the story of Kabir Khan,the man who proves his detractors wrong through a long arduous journey.
Kabir khan coaches a women's hockey team and wishes that they participate in the women's hockey world cup. The first difficulty is selecting women from various states with various backgrounds and creating a harmonious team out of them. The strict,dour and introvert Kabir Khan who has been nursing the wound of being called a traitor,spends every drop of sweat to make his team stand a chance at the championship. After a series of unusual struggles and obstacles,the team finally wins the championship and Kabir's tainted dignity is redeemed.
A heartwarming tale of loss and regain,Chak De is beautiful in its storytelling and the performance of each and every person in the cast. Shimit Amin's direction renders a crisp flavour to the movie,without making the theme overtly sentimental despite dealing with a sensitive issue. Shah Rukh gives a stellar performance,and so does the girls of the Indian Team.

Be ready to hail the director Shimit Amin for the masterpiece. It is a story of an ex-Indian Hockey player who was accused of being a traitor in the final of the World Cup against arch rivals Pakistan. This player, returns as a coach Kabir Khan played by Shah Rukh Khan, after seven years of exile to coach Indian girls' Hockey team which resembles so much to that of Lagaan team.
All the players are champions of their state and the best in their own right but the cultural stereotypes and the intra-groupism leads difference between the team. The coach even after ridiculed by the association and even the team players, doesn't give up and vows to take the team to World Cup and give their best shot.
Kabir Khan with his unique methods, encouraging talks, sharp knowledge and vast experience of Hockey turns a meager bickering team into a formidable side even though they will remain underdogs when compared to any other Team across the globe. He brings the best out of the team proving himself alongside as the true supporter of the nation and wanting to win the most for his nation.
The fights between the strict and disciplined coach and the players and the differences in the ideologies between the teammates is wonderfully depicted by the director.
Even though lagging in pace, the movie keeps you glued until the last scene as the Hockey scenes and cinematography is near to perfection. One must praise Shah Rukh Khan for another brilliant performance who without any of his trademark stints takes the movie higher up on the watch list. This is why he is the KING of Bollywood. The movie gives a wonderful experience and missing it might make you eat up your mind!
