This movie gives me chills everytime I watch it. Its truly #inspiring as its based on a #trueStory of an athlete Milkha Singh. Though biographic movies are slow and boring but this on the other hand is quite #entertaining and #LOLFunny . Some of the scenes are quite #emotional and #heartBreaking but the viewer is utmost happy. I never expected such an amazing performance from Farrhan Akhtar but with the help of director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra , Farrhan was able to realize his full potential. This movie is
#thoughtProvoking because you are really shocked with the real struggles that are faced by athletes which are mostly latent from the world as all we see are their success and failures

Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s “Bhaag Milkha Bhaag” (“Run Milkha Run” [2013]) is a classic Hollywood sports underdog story in the tradition of “Rudy,” “Hoosiers” and “42.” The difference, however, is that this is Bollywood. Meaning, the film is about a real Indian national hero, dressed in full turban. It is three hours long. Many loose ends in the plot remain untied. Everything from the acting, to the score, to the editing is so exaggerated that the climax seems subdued. And, of course, everyone pe

Biopic of " Flying Sikh " Milkha Singh is a real example of the famous proverb "where there is a will there is a way". A must-watch movie specially for the youngsters to witness how "the charm of a glass of a milk" inspired a poor guy to run barefooted to represent India in Olympic. Keeping in mind the financial condition of an athelete in India, I think, his son Jeev Milkha Singh has opted for Golf.

Hold on! A breath-taking movie with all the ingredients which makes it unarguably the best movie of the year. Milkha Singh, an Indian Olympist known as "The Flying Sikh" is played by none other than Farhan Akhtar who proves his mettle as an actor with a commendable performance. The movie tells you about the life of an athlete who faced all the possible lows in the life during his childhood during the Indian Civil War and Post Independence disputes with neighboring nation.
Milkha Singh fights against all odds to make a living and does all sort of work to ensure that he is fortunate enough to have meal twice a day. He starts his first race for a glass of milk (ha!!) and from there on he never looks back and keeps running and running to be the most complete athlete India has ever produced. Through immense hard work, and round the clock determination by running uncountable miles everyday, he becomes the fastest of all.
One after another, he starts winning races making his nation and coach proud who urged him to take up running. He breaks several records, wins at several world events until he faces a heart break defeat at 1960 olympics. Still, he takes up the new challenge and emerges as a winner at the races that follow! Director Rakeysh Mehra is the person who deserves the most credit after Farhan Akhtar and Prasoon Joshi for bringing in the realism in to the movie.
One just can't take off his eyes Farhan Akhtar who puts in all his blood and sweat in to Milkha Singh's character. This movie can be undoubtedly the best in the recent times, as it manages to keep that intensity till the finish line.

Second half a bit slow and not up to the premise which a strong first half delivers. Nonetheless a great attempt.
