There were only two other people in the screening I attended. Quite reasonable; the times altered in every volume and The Restless One was packed compared to The Desolate One. In the Enchanted One, I was left alone through the last act. We all sat through Scheherazade's emotional journey in satisfaction. One left when that story began and the other left when it continued, leaving me to stand up and read the rest of the goddamn chaffinch trapping story, Scheherazade breaks and all.

It ends up a bizarre and boring closure to a really interesting, artsy and educational trilogy of Portuguese social commentary, but considering the set-up of this whole experiment that really kinda works. Besides, the rest of the chaffinch story isn't even listed in the index.

Oh, gawd.
