Based on the real lie of mathematician Tomas Nash whose genius was overshadowed by bouts of paranoia and schizophrenia. The movie tracks his development from a student to a patient and finally to a recuperated person who wins a Nobel prize for his contribution which redeems his stature. Though slammed by critics for only dealing with the good and the praiseworthy while tactically hiding the shameful events of Nash's life,the performance by Russel Crowe is so overwhelming that however much we praise him,words fall short.

A Beautiful Mind is one of the most touching stories I have ever seen. It follows the story of a young man who is beyond genius; a prodigy. He finds himself in a situation where he is of utmost importance to the country. There is also a romantic aspect to the story that has been kept limited to it’s requirement.
There were moments when the movie seemed to get slow but that was required for the pace of the movie, so no real harm done.
There comes a turn in the story that it very unexpected. I can't seem to elaborate how important and difficult this turn was without giving away spoilers but it was something that hits you out of nowhere and leaves you confused for a while. I would call it a plot twist had it not been a biographical film about John Nash, the Nobel Memorial Prize winner for his work in game theory.
The story takes you from his youth to his old age, through his troubles, his pain and his recovery and his achievements. It shows you his fight to be normal. It makes you feel proud of him. It makes you cry, not only when he’s in pain but also when he’s successful. It’s a story that is bound to warm your heart and capture you.
The movie has been made beautifully and subtly. Russell Crowe has outdone himself. It’s a must-watch movie. Not just for it’s story but also for the way it has been directed and played out.

A true story, this movie gives goosebumps to everyone who would have seen it. It is simple, yet mind-teasing at the same time. The entire plot unravels in a mysterious way and the method of depiction is so sincere. A must watch for everyone.

This affliction slowly takes over his mind and we watch as his life crumbles apart around him. He abandons his students, alienates his colleagues and replaces his research with a fruitless and all-consuming obsession. it's a true story and our hero is none other than John Forbes Nash Jr.
