The conflicting ideals of a Tamil Brahmin family and a Punjabi family- and two passionate lovers drawn in the brawl. The movie speaks about the fact how marriage is more important as a tie-up between families and culture more than the bonding between two persons! A lot of mud-slinging between parents and a lot of hard work on the part of the lovers to bring them round!

Alia and Arjun are commendable in their roles-so are the supporting cast! Music is mesmerizing in some parts-making the flow of the movie smooth and enchanting! Newcomer director does a good job in adapting the bestseller novel into an entertaining piece
