The Florida Project (2017)

Eh its alright, at first I was going to give it a 2/5 cause I was a bit bored by it and I could not connect with Moonee that well, but looking at the symbolism the movie does a good job at making it her POV, and we look through the story through her eyes, and it is realistic. Nothing is too over the top, except her crying maybe. The major problem I have with the film is that Moonee seems too "mature" to the way she interacts with the world. The ending is a lot better, and the subtlety of is this film is pretty good, and I feel bad almost for not understanding it at first. The ending was weird when I watched it, but I like the idea that going to Disney World was a symbolism for the last time she will ever have a normal life. You sympathize with Hailey quite a bit, and I did not realize at first how desperate she was to make money. I think the way she raises Moonee is terrible, so I put a lot of my disappointment with Moonee. I did find it a bit boring just to see the kids play, even though it is very realistic, it could have been slightly more highlighting the kids themselves, rather their adventures to go get ice cream a bunch of times.
