The movie is clearly weak as compared to its first part yet it is needless to say it does maintains its quality of being funny. The movie continues with the same topics of feminism and the purpose and validity of successful news where we find the feminism factor stronger this time. The movie gets boring at parts and does start to feel a little longer though its not really that long. The story gets very interesting in terms of Brick's life and that is the funniest aspect of the movie. All we can say is, it was a good attempt to continue humor in the second part though it loses it's title of ''classic'' at this point. There are a lot of fantastic comedies being made at this time and it is ironical how most of these comedies are by females. Feminism just got real outside ''Anchorman 2"!
The fantastic comedian Will Ferrel makes us want to watch this movie already. This movie can easily be considered as a classic in the genre of comedy. The characters are well-designed and the twisted character of Brick gives a very different edge to the movie. The movie takes up the movement of feminism very cleverly and also the fact that news channels do not always serve their purpose. This combination is an interesting one. The protagonist Ron Burgundy is not someone we would actually like to see winning in life; yet he is the hero of the movie and we see his success and how the industry works- The one who is always diverted from the point and discriminates on many levels is the one that wins. Still, the comedy keeps it's name of being a comedy by not over-powering the sense of these satires; sometimes the audience just wants a good laugh!
The movie starts on a tense note where we see these old people living different lives all tensed about something or the other; all a little lonely inside. These characters have lived most of their life and are yet trying to find something that they do not even know. The movie captures their journeys and feelings that arise when they come to India and are compelled to expect the unexpected. The star-cast is strong and experienced and the story moves steadily and leisurely representing the age of retirement in itself. The message is clear and complete in itself and the plot is well-rounded.
we get gripped in the very atmosphere the movie create at the very beginning with the very uninspired protagonist who needs a serious push in life. When he comes across something unusual that might help, he does not think twice before shaking on it. What follows is a mess full of crime, blood, law, and uncontrollable desire for power and ability. The dangers that the deal comes with are many, but the hero is ready to fight it and accept the dangers. That is when he decides he wants to stay addicted for life and finds a way to actually do it. Do we really have a mind that powerful and all it needs is a little more tapping? Or can a little tablet do so much you become unconquerable? You may be able to relate to the movie if you have strong coffee to keep yourself focused. That's the maximum we could do to get close to the superhuman in this movie!
The awesome first part of the movie was indeed complete in itself but a second part! what!! The movie come back with more style, humor, more lessons and well, emotion. The girls are about to graduate and those in high-school or college can relate to everything happening in the movie so well. There isn't some sort of hollow meaningless comedy in there; its deep and emotional. We get to learn from Beca that thinking about a steady future and chasing your dreams is the ultimate goal and one should focus on the present and the future as well. A lot of good things to learn from this girls who have fun and work hard to follow their passion as well.
Gone are the days when comedy revolved around a 'male-only' ambience and females would be the usual targets. This movie is different, not only because it is about ''Capella'' (singing unaccompanied by musical instruments) but about young girls passionate about their dreams, aware of their realities and bonding! This is not the same clich
It is hard to try and not spoil a movie this great. This is a must watch movie for people who are both, stuck somewhere in life and doing well as it will provoke such thoughts and ideas that have been either buried for year or are being ignored.
This is a classic movie starring Matt Damon, Robin Williams and Ben and Casey Affleck, who was almost ignored despite his fine acting. Now the reason why you might find some elements of this movie transparent while they fly by are the story and the intensity with which the actors have performed it. This movie has one of the best improvised scenes of history where Robin Williams changes the protagonist's life. This work of art shall definitely inspire you to chase what you want to do with your life; where your true passion lies.
One last reason to watch this classic is that this was written by Ben Affleck and Matt Damon while Robin Williams won an Oscar award for best actor in a supporting role. A movie holding such different colors that it still manages a beautiful tail-end.
Bullying, kids love stories, child slavery, imaginary friends, magic and ghosts. This movie is not based on any of these topics and yet has kid-protagonist. Autism was not a condition widely known or talkd about in India before this movie came out. THankfully, people started thinking about children with these conditions more seriously after this movie. A child not wanting to confrom to hollow rules of mind-curbing systems that govern us, is a child who is a future philosopher. such a child in truest to nature, to art and has a good hold of aesthetics and does not even know the meaning of this word. They are born with this gift that makes them ever-so sensitive, compassionate, loving, and deeply creative. People who are open-minded, sublime in thought and pure at heart are the ones that truly recognize such children. This is what the movie tries to convey. We get a sense of new discovery and acceptance for all kinds of children and their wishes and needs. The plot moves fast and delicately, exposing every important detail for us to make us relate with this issue even if we have not experienced it. To love this movie is to change your life.
Yes, there is wisdom everywhere. It's in colleges and Church but it is practical and tangible in...you heard us right- Jail. This is the story of someone who goes to jail for something that he is not even guilty of; God can really troll us sometimes. On a serious note, this man toughens up, learns about the brutal reality of life and its many little ruthless sides; which he is not really used to, meets another wise prisoner and together they plan to break free. The movie is not really about prison as much as it is about corruption in the police system back in the day and the stone-cold, unfeeling ways in which criminals go through punishments, that sometimes they do not deserve. It is all so much about the individual freedom and the right to speak up, to act, and to live life with all it's dignity and usefulness in any situation or place; to make optimum use of intellect and rise above the intricate system of senselessness. The movie is a classic and it's tone is grave and suggestive. The plot moves meaningfully and is well connected. We get to learn a lot about the prison system of America a few decades ago and how intellect transcends all.
Who thought ghosts could get emotionally attached, give out gifts, and become your close friends, and follow you everywhere because...they like you? That's not normal, that's not how it works! Well, that is how Miyazaki's worlds work. Spirited away captures exactly this essence of a 'parallel universe of ghosts''. They have real jobs and responsibilities, no kidding. If you want to give your mind a dizzy shot of anything, it has to be a movie. And it has to be this. It will make you think deep, but...in a very very different direction. Those who let their minds take a good exercise in imagination must watch this. And be Awed.
