I already knew about the hate this movie received. Still thought to watch it with an open mind ...but seriously what were they thinking?? Felt more like the Pilot of a TV series.
Right from the beginning of the movie, where we get the all in one tracking shot, through the epic final globe smashing conclusion, everything delivers superb intensity and spectacle. Although the action scenes are great (Iron Man in the Hulkbuster versus Hulk!) the thing that really makes this movie work is the interaction between all the people involved. Stark and Banner, Banner and Black Widow, Hawkeye and Black Widow, Thor and Captain America. Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch make a great addition to the team. Talking about the action, the action sequences are absolutely outstanding. We get an adequate dose of each character kicking ass and showcasing their powers and abilities.
This has everything one might need in a blockbuster movie. There were smokin' hot chicks, electrifying dialogs, fantastic humor, amazing stunts, and a menacing addition - Jason Statham. If you are looking for little story, more car chases, stupendous action and violence and hot babes, Furious 7 is your ticket.
Starts slow, but after 4-5 episodes, plot develops great as well as the characters and their relations. Amazing and very realistic characters. I almost gave up straight after the first episode due to not being able to follow what was happening, but this was necessary to allow a brilliantly constructed story to unfold to a climactic and satisfying conclusion. One of the best take on time travel I have ever seen.
I watched the two seasons of Orphan Black in just two days. Yes, it was that addicting. But what's most remarkable is Tatiana Maslany, who plays these various characters brilliantly. When you see a different one you can see the difference in characterization that she's able to give them. Each has very unique mannerisms, vocabularies, accents, confidence levels, etc. The personalities among the clones are vast, from the orphaned Brit Sarah, to the psycho-killer Helena. Other clones include: the repressed suburbanite Allison; the dread-locked PhD student Cosima, the cop Beth and still others...
I have never seen the original Japanese version of the movie but know the story well as I have been told by many people. There is a statue of Hachiko that stands outside of Shibuya Station in Tokyo. I'm a guy & don't cry about movies as I know it's fake but i gotta say this one caught me by surprise. It's a heartwarming tale of loyalty, about how people and dogs are more than just friends and most of all, about how a dog's love for its master never fades - even after his death!
Love is the one thing that transcends time and space... Definitely best film of this year and possibly one of the greatest science fiction films to have ever graced the screen. Visual range of the picture is incredibly beautiful. New worlds, insanely beautiful and mysterious space, wormholes, black holes, and travel through them, folds of time and space are arranged so that is simply breathtaking. Hans Zimmer's score was amazing and blended perfectly with the film. The first thing I did after returning to my room was putting the soundtracks on download.
It is a beautiful, funny, and even heartfelt film that families from every background will get a kick out of. I loved the father-son relationship between Mr. Peabody & his human kid, Sherman. Ty Burrell, best known for portraying Phil Dunphy on the hit sitcom, Modern Family, is equally hilarious, sarcastic, goofy & endearing as Mr. Peabody. Max Charles is adorable as the innocent little kid, Sherman. Ariel Winter, also known for playing Alex Dunphy on Modern Family, is outstanding as the obnoxious & curious, Penny Peterson. It is definitely enjoyable to watch. It's one of Dreamworks' best efforts to date.
I knew as soon as i saw the opening sequence that I would be in love with this series..!! The writing is pretty much on par with the movie as well, and the jokes are funny and witty. Keep up the good work, Dreamworks I hope you guys keep making more of those episodes and movies because they're the best ever.
Already watched the anime Samurai X and therefore was excited to see the movie. At first, I was doubtful whether a live-action adaptation from such a popular manga can live up to its high expectation since most like-minded movie like this always ends up as a rip-off. Most of the cast are excellent. Takeru Sato is excellent as Kenshin, his trademark red-haired and long ponytail, curvaceous lips, wide eyes, his outfit and even the way he runs, jumps and draws his sword. The action sequence is also top-notch. The sword-fights choreography is fast and furious...Best Japanese live-action adaptation I've ever seen so far.
