One takes an instant liking to Princess Merida.Her bubbly,chirpy and headstrong nature and her penchant for breaking rules makes her different from the typical fairy-tale princesses.When her mother Elinor decides to get her married,it further strains the mother-daughter relationship and rebelling against her decision,Merida wins her own hand in the archery contest.To change her mother's mind,she requests the witch for a spell but accidently,her mother is changed into a bear.The movie revolves around Merida trying to transform her mother back into a human against all odds,thereby strengthening their bond and that is the high point of the film.This time along,Disney gives you something to take back home -that family matters.

Al Pacino plays an aging rock-star romancing young ladies and has a steady fanbase who worships him.Despite all this,he knows that something is amiss.Not until he discovers a past John Lennon letter does life give him a second chance at redemption and he embarks on a quest of self-discovery.He tries to win over his family who he had long forgotten,find true love but most importantly,make honest music.Beneath his hard-living and playboy ways,a vulnerable yet warm soul meets the eye and he is lovable,be it his unwavering charm or his hard attempt to make things right.Staying at The Hilton,he tries to woo the manageress Anette Bening, who is aptly cast.The movie shifts focus to his bitter relationship with his estranged son Bobby Cannavale who is suffering from leukemia.Danny plays a doting grandpa to Hope,who suffers from ADHD and also funds her schooling.You quietly celebrate his small victories.With a soul-stirring performance by Al Pacino and a stellar supporting cast,this film has it's heart in the right place.

Meenakshi Iyer is on her way to Calcutta along with her infant son and her parents request fellow traveller, Raja Chowdhary to help her during the bus journey.Set amidst the backdrop of communal riots,Raja reveals his Muslim identity to her as a rioting mob enters the bus.On first thought,she is resents his company but later introduces him as Mr Iyer to the mob and from thereon unfolds a sweet and most unlikely romance,one that is beyond religious barriers.The movie keeps you engrossed till the end,as the two strangers struggle to find their way home while pretending to be a couple.Aparna Sen manages to extract the best out of her actors.Rahul Bose is aptly cast.Konkana Sen Sharma steals the show with her moving yet powerful potrayal of an orthodox Tamil Brahmin.It's rare to find a movie of such calibre these days and that's why you shouldn't give it a miss.
