another one of Miike's exceptional works. though not for the viewers with a weak stomach, if you think you're up to it DO NOT miss it. some men are forced to do wicked acts, while others are born evil and it is often the ones you least expect that turn out to be the most malevolent.

this movie is a perfect example of magical realism. it follows the perspective of a little girl desperate to find a place for herself that means something. the sound tract, scoring and cinematography is phenomenal.

Bleach if one of the three manga/anime that form the trilogy, or the heavy hitters of the true anime world ( the other two being Naruto and One piece.) this is a must watch if you're a fan of drama and action. the art and animation is amazing. this is a rather long series so stay committed.

watch this if you're looking for something out of the ordinary. it keeps you guessing until the end to if you want to classify it under horror or psychology. either way it has everything needed for a sleepless night - troubled child, worried mother and unexplained books.

brain matters

this one is for anyone who is even remotely fascinated with the human mind. it is well researched and each story is different, often making references and drawing parallels to real cases. the team of investigators use profiling and behavioral analyses to catch the worst of the worst with just enough humor to save it from being dry but not enough to trivialize.

in all honesty this version did justice to the books while still managing to elevate it to this century. its a fun watch that makes one think. this will appeal to anyone who is into mystery and an unusual protagonist.
