Former cabaret queen and make-up artist Kirsten Brend hosts a Danish themed night. Her traditional Danish menu goes down a treat and Kirsten is keen to illustrate her past singing career with a Eurovision showpiece.

Slate salesman Damion Fearnley aims to impress his guests with a carefully crafted menu of restaurant quality food. Unfortunately, two of his guests seem more intent on taking verbal swipes at each other than bites out of his food.

It's the final night and retired housekeeper Viv Foster feels confident about her posh dinner party, after years of experience serving the rich and famous, and is going all out to impress with a butler, silver service and her favourite tried and tested recipes.

It's Viva Espana in Wigan as the competition kicks off with first host, hospital theatre practitioner Geoff Conway, who is attempting to wow his guests with an epic nine-course tapas feast. Can Geoff be the amigo with the mostest, or has his Spanish feast proved a patatas bravas too much for his guests?

In Wigan and the second host is 27-year-old hairdressing salon owner Natalie Crompton. Natalie loves a party and she has high hopes for a fun-filled evening, with some very special treats in store for her guests. Natalie is convinced she has what it takes to win the £1000 cash prize but has she got what it takes to cut it in the competition or will she be left high and dry?

Music teacher and funeral singer Alan Gregory attempts the performance of a lifetime with an evening of what he hopes will be great Greek grub. His plans for a cultured soiree are ransacked by straight talking Geoff Conway who, after serving up a storm on the first night, is now intent on causing one. Geoff keeps it a secret that he has a 'manly Wigan food' list that means he can't eat certain foods or he will be considered less of a man by his friends.

It's the turn of 27-year-old gymnastics teacher Simon Grimwood. Simon's hoping for a celebration, because not only is it his turn to host but it's also his birthday. Simon's hoping his posh menu will be enough to dazzle his guests; however salon owner Natalie Crompton is concerned about some of the food. But it's not only Simon's food that surprises, as the guests uncover Simon's lifelong passion of ferreting.

Nurse practitioner Caroline Heaven is hoping to end the week with a bang by showing her Wigan guests a 'proper' Lancashire night. However, with his behaviour this week, hospital theatre manager Geoff Conway is skating on thin ice and is on the verge of being kicked out by Caroline if he misbehaves. Will the guests be chuffed t' bits with Caroline's Lancashire do and will it be enough for her to bag her the grand, or will Geoff's behaviour result in an early exit?

Ice cream man Vincenzo Ferlita stays true to his Italian and Sicilian roots, creating a home-made feast for his guests. With a wealth of family recipes at the ready, including a big Sicilian sausage, what could go wrong?

Canadian craft-maker and housewife Sarah Maynard is second to host, and her guests are in for a bit of a surprise as she won't be serving up maple syrup pancakes, but a three course Turkish feast. The group start to get to know each other more, which leads to shock revelations over dinner.

Steve Carvill is hoping a night of fine food and fun will score him big points and is taking no prisoners with his menu, making home-made pasta and white chocolate panacotta from scratch.

It's the turn of dog-mad gardener Sara Gilding to host, for what will be her first dinner party for over 20 years. Fiery Vincenzo isn't looking forward to the night at all, having been rubbed up the wrong way by Sara all week. And riot policeman Steve Carvill is hoping for some respite from Sara's flirtations. Can Sara exceed her guests' low expectations?

It's the last dinner and the turn of children's entertainer Kelly Cummins to host. After a pleasant evening the night before, the guests are hoping that dog-loving Sara Gilding does not return to her critical ways. But they should be more worried about her flatulence, as Sara lets loose on the final night.

Another week of new episodes, from Dumfries and Galloway, is kicked off by dairy farmer's wife and self-confessed Disney princess Charlene Fry-Henderson. Can she win over her guests, local radio DJ Tommy Jardine, horse-mad banker Olive Melville, prison custody officer Tammy Rice and trainee teacher Josh Jones with her locally reared meat and home cooking?

It's the turn of carefree, horse-mad banker Olive Melville to show off her culinary skills in the kitchen. Can Olive impress with her risky crab starter? Or will it be a claw too far for local radio DJ and fish hater Tommy Jardine. A conversation about the royals between DJ Josh Jones and prison custody officer Tammy threatens to upset the harmony of the dinner party.

It's the turn of local radio DJ and funny man Tommy Jardine to try and impress his guests with a Scottish staple, chicken stuffed with haggis. As if his traditional food and bizarre entertainment isn't enough, Tommy tries to impress his guest with a spot of celebrity name dropping. However young dance DJ and trainee teacher Josh Jones trumps him at his own game and shares with the group the time he met Rod Stewart.

It's the turn of trainee teacher and club DJ Josh Jones. Experimental cook Josh wants to broaden his fellow diners' palettes by cooking some Indian food, but things don't start off well for prison custody officer Tammy Rice who discovers something hiding in her glass that wasn't on the menu. With lamb passanda and tandoori monkfish on the menu, can Josh win round his guests?

The final night in Dumfries and Galloway, and host Tammy Rice is hoping her traditional Scottish fare and a side order of straight talking, is going to help secure her the top spot. Tammy is trying her best to rustle up a feast, serving chorizo and cous cous stuffed peppers for her starter and incorporating haggis into her chicken-based main course - but with chicken having already been on the menu twice this week - the battle of the stuffed chicken is about to commence.

Divorce lawyer Michelle Camacho plans a seventies menu including duck a l'orange, 'psychedelic coleslaw', groovy veg and bloody Mary sorbet. Her guests are Licia Snow, trainee solicitor Raphael Steele, bar manager Matt Wren and Swedish financial adviser Charlotte Sundberg.

Pub manager and artist Matt Wren struggles with disasters in the kitchen. And while Michelle and Licia spat, Raphael Steele finds himself charmed by Charlotte.
