It's one of those rare occasions when you come across a sci-fi movie with innumerable flaws in the script and a number of plot holes and you're still impressed with the film. As a matter of fact this one surpasses all the previous installments of MIB.
Will Smith is nothing short of perfect and hats off to Josh Brolin as well. Barry Sonnenfeld gets it right the third time around. The 3rd part has all the elements which the previous movies had overlooked- good dialogues, emotions and a good story.
It could have been much better had the short comings of the plot been dealt with, but all in all do watch this if you're a die hard fan of time travel.

I had been a fan of Anurag Kashyap till now, but after watching this I have it say it out loud, 'This man is a genius.' Never has such a movie been made in India and one has to salute this man as it takes a lot of guts for making such films, knowing that it won't be appreciated by the average Indian audience who prefer "escapist" cinema.
The movie takes you on a roller coaster ride and in the end, the viewer is free to interpret the movie as he/she likes. Kudos to the director and the entire cast. Paresh Rawal deserves special mention for his performance.

What starts out as a lighthearted comedy finally ends up as a massacre. I simply fail to understand why Indian movie makers cannot abandon the age old formula of a love triangle. And to add insult to injury the movie is highly sexist. Saif Ali Khan is too old to portray even a 32 year old (as stated in the movie). It's surprising, if not idiotic that every woman he meets gets charmed by his outdated and cheesy lines. It's as if women in this movie are just dying to be wooed by this old bloke.
Deepika however looks pretty convincing and probably it's one of her best performances till date.
The plot is fine till the first half an hour or so, but as the movie proceeds Deepika tries to mold herself into the perfect Indian girl, just in order to convince the groom's family that she's an eligible Indian bride. In a way the movie reiterates that it's fine if you smoke, booze and go nuts, as long as you're a guy, but if you're a woman, especially an Indian woman then these things are a big no for you. Sexism at it's best!!!

I am simply at a loss to understand as to why this movie has been categorized as as a political thriller. With a straight forward plot, there are hardly any moments which can be christened as "Thrilling". Apart from the performances of Imran Hashmi and Abhay Deol, there's nothing much that this movie has to offer. Direction and cinematography are average at the best and Kalki's performance is the final nail in the coffin which destroys the movie. The lack of a good background score is pretty evident all throughout the film and the climax is highly disappointing as a strong ending could have definitely saved the entire film. After some brilliant movies like Khosla ka Ghosla, it seems like Dibakar Banerjee has lost the plot.

After a fantastic second installment in this trilogy, Nolan yet again comes up with a masterpiece. Yes, the expectations were high after Heath Ledger's perfect depiction of the Joker and in some senses the movie doesn't live up to it's predecessor, but this film has what the others lacked. Depth, emotion, drama and some brilliantly choreographed action scenes. The direction is amazing, as is expected from Nolan. Bale is back to his best after his slump in The Dark Knight and Gary Oldman and Joseph Gordon push up the bar too.
Joker's absence is surely missed throughout the movie, but unlike the last movie, which was solely carried forward by Ledger and the other characters just revolving around him, this one has better character development.

This is the best Spiderman movie of the lot hands down. But looking at how the previous 3 had fared, that's not much of a compliment. Unlike the original trilogy, this movie is packed with some good performance and CGI sans the cheesy dialogues. But as usual the movie lacks a good plot and the direction is average. Watch this only if you're a die hard spidey fan or just wait for the DVD.

In Time has an ingeniously brilliant concept. But to everyone's disappointment the Director Andrew Niccol simply fails to build on it and create a great film. The concept of immortal humans, who are genetically programmed to live as long as their clock keeps ticking is brilliant. But some shoddy direction and unpleasant acting negates the fun quotient from the movie. Watch this only if you are a sci-fi freak.

So for the first time ever Sharman Joshi stars in the lead role and he manages to pull it of effortlessly. He fits into the role of a comical simpleton perfectly. In fact every individual character in this movie has acted brilliantly. The cinematography is perfect and so is the direction. The biggest gaping hole in this film is its plot. The concept is good, but the movie is riddled with conceptual flaws. Moreover the movie has been stretched at the end which spoils it all.

Changeling is Angelina's best hands down. A heart touching story of a mother who tries in vain to find her lost child. The film glorifies the relation between a mother and her child and at the same time also focuses on the careless police system.

Considering that this movie came out in the 90's, in an era when the use of CGI hadn't gained much popularity, Total Recall offers some good effects. An innovative plot but some sloppy acting leaves a lot to be desired. Hope the upcoming remake of this movie builds up on it's mistakes.
