Air date: 12 Oct '11 - 13 episodesYoung Dracula is a British teenage horror drama television series airing on CBBC, loosely based on Young Dracula AND Young Monsters, a children's book by Michael Lawrence. Directed by Joss Agnew, the first series was broadcast in 2006, and the second series, which started in late 2007, concluded in early 2008. A third series was commissioned three years later and began airing on 31 October 2011, and a fourth began airing on 29 October 2012. The first two series follow the Dracula family, a family of vampires: Vladimir, his father Count Dracula, and older sister Ingrid. Having lived in Transylvania, they move to Stokely, a small town in Wales after various incidents involving angry peasant mobs. It was filmed in various locations around Wales, including Ysgol Gyfun Gymraeg Glantaf, Caerphilly Castle, Tretower Court and parts of Llantrisant. Vlad confides his plans for humans and breathers to live side-by-side, and Erin agrees to help him. Unknown to them, Bertrand overhears and disapproves.

5. Carpathian Feast
14 Nov '01Vlad and the count are clashing. Ingrid is nearly better and stirring things up between Vlad and his dad. The count demands Vlad show him some respect by throwing a Carpathian feast, which involves a vampire being thrown to the flames - and Erin is the intended victim.

6. Blood Thief
15 Nov '11Vlad is distracted by thoughts of Erin when he should be training to open the book. The count is furious that the book is no nearer to being opened. He plots with Bertrand to get rid of Erin and they frame Ingrid in the process. Vlad puts himself in danger to rescue Erin.

10. The Return
29 Nov '11Vlad returns to the school and is changed - he has matured and grown into a leader. The slayers Jonno and Mina Van Helsing arrive at the school, but it appears they are unaware of the existence of vampires and that their mind wipes from four years ago are still in place. Vlad sets out to test them.

11. Hit Chicks
05 Dec '11Post-therapy, Ingrid is pretending she is sweetness and light when really she plans to take charge. She turns a visiting team of netball players into vampires and tells them their mission is to wipe out Vlad. Erin now trusts Vlad and shows him the text in the Praedictum Impaver. It is a foreign language which Vlad cannot read, but Bertrand or his dad may understand it.
