Small but Brilliant
Ever seen a bunch of 15-year-old as leads who make you addicted to the show. Stranger things is one. It is set in 1983 in a small town called Hawkins in Indiana where it all started with the disappearance of Will Byers who goes missing after playing Dungeons and Dragons in his friend Mike’s house. Everyone searches him for days and days and finally believes that he is dead except for his mom who still thinks he is alive and is communicating with her through lights and few impulses. After knowing about the scientific research going on in the Hawkins laboratory and the “strange things” happening over there opens up a new perspective to the missing case of Will Byers and also introduces us to the whole new world of Upside down, Monsters, weird creatures and also a new character called Eleven or El who helps these kids find their friend. There is nothing more we can say about this without spoiling the whole show
The way the story is set up with its 1980s background and a fantasy thriller genre is justified by its visual, the character portrayal and the story. A single mother, weird scientific research, the clothes, the buildings everything. The Duffer brothers effort to pull off this theme worked out. This was also supported by the quite small and extraordinary cast of Kids and Experienced actors such as Winona Ryder etc. They also capture both the “simpler times” feel of a bygone era, but also the grim reality of that time, with the perpetual threat of war and the way heinous crimes were so often swept under the rug. Will’s disappearance sparks a town-wide manhunt and media coverage, but when a second child vanishes, it’s dismissed as a teenage runaway.
This show which is a mixture of Stephen King, Speilberg and all those mystery childhood stories which we read as kids brings back the nostalgic feel to it which made us attach to the series and not to mention, The cliffhangers every episode ends with. This probably has the best cliffhangers in a TV show ever which hooks you up and forces for a binge watch. The best thing about this shows is the way the viewers perspective on the characters change from bad to good and how every character contributes to the show in a significant way which most of the shows failed to address.
Overall its just brilliance from a bunch of kids and a small cast which hook you up with the show right from the beginning of the pilot with their mindblowing acting and fast-paced story which is easily binge-able and won't take you more time

As Addicting as meth
Breaking Bad. It all started with a necessity. This show is a classic in TV industry which stood out from the rest. Breaking Bad is about a father Walter White who is an high school chemistry teacher and his desperate need to save money for his family after his death because of him suffering from cancer. He thereby starts to use his chemistry knowledge along with his past student Jessy Pinkman to cook meth in the city and the drama begins as he produces the best meth and gets the attention of Giants. What happens after that is the ultimate deal in breaking bad.
The series makes you catch right to it from the Season 1 and it probably has the best ending to a TV show ever. From frame 1, Vince Gilligan proved he got skills and knows what he is doing. The way the drama is portrayed and the way the action takes place is just outstanding. It has all the mixtures of emotions such as love, empathy, guilt, lust etc. What stood out this TV show from others was the characterization of its leads and its villain. Any TV buff you ask will name Walter white aka Heisenberg as one of the Best Leads in the entire industry. No wonder he deserved the Emmy Awards.
The Best part about its characterization is the development of the characters and how we feed different about them in different parts of the series. With a little twist here and there and few groundbreaking dramas just added as a cherry in the cake.
This award-winning series will probably be the best you’ve ever seen in your whole life. It's worth the hype. Just relax, grab a popcorn and move forward. Its just as addicting as the meth it produces.

A Perfect Beginning
Oh boy, Oh boy, Oh boy. Ever seen a debut being fantastic. Here you go. Reservoir Dogs is one of the cult classics from Quentin Tarantino who marked his debut through this film ( athough his first fims was My Best Friends birthday which wasn’t released because its reel got lost in a fire ).
Tarantino’s style of story is quite simple and straight forward but where he excels is his screenplay and direction and the way he moves forwards the story. Reservoir Dogs is a based on a heist and events happening before and after that. It all starts with 8 men, 6 of them who are gang thugs who are called by names of colors and Mob boss and his Son, eating breakfast in a local restaurant where they have a big conversation, the best part of the conversation comes when they discuss about tipping. All those 6 mens were made anonymous to each other so that they would not reveal the names if things go south. They plan on executing a diamond robbery which they expect to go smooth suddenly gets interrupted by the police and chaos begins. People get shot including the police and few people escape amidst those all. They all meet one by one in a abandoned warehouse where they suspect there is a rat who is an undercover cop among them and the whole movie revolves around these characters figuring out who the rat is.
Though the story looks short and simple, the way the narration has been carried out is excellent. Character development and the politics among them were on point and its just elevated by the performances of the star cast which the film holds. the film is one long stage of typical of Tarantino-istic emotions – glorified blood splatter, brutal back-stabbing etc. The typical tarantinos narration of moving with flashbacks and the current story all began with this film and the way it is executed is brilliant. The Camera, the use of colors both as name and in the film was unique. The best part about this it is that it never gets boring despite of the movie being focused in just a single warehouse. Master class Narration.
Overall, This movie is a masterpiece from tarantino and being his debut film just makes it even special. A weird genre with a totally unique narration which very few will like and I hope you are one among us

A comeback film
The movie marks the comeback of Night M Shyamalan who was once a celebrated director with his hits such as The Sixth Sense, Unbreakable suddenly fell apart with series of mediocre or flop movies. Just when critics thought Shyamalan is lost, he showed us a glimpse of hope with his Film The Visit. The Split definitely means that Shyamalan is back and he’s here in this industry for a reason. His movies are quite contemplative and he has a unique touch in his movies which makes us as audience experience too many emotions in them.
Split is a film starring James McAvoy as Kevin Wendell Crumb, who has undergone severe mental abuse in his childhood and disassociate identity disorder which made him create 23 distinctive personalities among himself, some of them more unpleasant than others. The film starts with one of the characters called Dennis who kidnaps three girls out of which two are popular and typical teenage girls and the other who is the main protagonist is a lonely girl Casey who is also affected by her own life. Series of Characters such as Dennis, Patricia, Hedwig who continuously interact with the girls. Here shines the acting skills of McAvoy where he pulls off some brilliant acting which makes the audience engage into the movie and get a grab of the character. It almost feels as if it was written solely on the prowess of his skills.
Series of Dramas and the characters interaction with the psychiatrist Dr. Fletcher adds to the pace of the movie. I love the way that the movie has made even tiny details seems significant in the long run, an example where the doctor calls the full name of Kevin to bring out the original character during her sessions and this detail is used in the later part of the film. And also love the way the film dealt with the character Arc of Casey but what we get is a poignant moment of truth where an antagonist character relates with her suffering.
This movie also teases us about the big character named “The Beast” who is the 24th character and is said to control the others all and the movie all sets up an act for the reveal of The Beast. This was also a reference to his previous hit “Unbreakable” which opens up a big storyline and it set up a base for the whole new Universe that Shyamalan created and lets just hope something great turns out from this in the future
Though the film lost its pace towards the end and felt like breaking apart. It was carried away by the mindblowing acting of McAvoy and the scintillating background score from West Dylan Thordson. And with a subtle twist, in the end, this ended this movie in a good note.
Overall this proved to be one of the best films from Shyamalan and he may have finally found himself the productive niche that eluded him for so long.
If you haven’t watched it, Please go ahead without any doubt.
