Dobi reviewed Tinderella
Starring the sweet and talented Sumukhi Suresh, 'Tinderella' traces the trajectories of modern Indian women and their struggles with dating and relationships. It's a comic take on everyday encounters with men and pressure of having an 'acceptable' social life. I think this could have been seriously nuanced but for the constant product advertisement. Given that Sumukhi is so funny and a really good actor, I had expected a lot from this mini-series but was disappointed.

Dobi reviewed GIRLSPLAINING
For all the repressed kids out there, how many of you are clueless about sex and puberty? For a society that believes that discussion on these is a taboo, this show is clearly non-generic. With peers openly talking about normal-nothing-to-be-ashamed-about things, this show is good, honestly. However, for some people it can be crass at sometimes. Overall, it showcases a decent enough attempt to put forth this side of arguments where people face things upfront without any hesitation.

Dobi reviewed Zero KMS
Starring the excellent Naseeruddin Shah along with Tanmay Dhanania, Satyadeep Mishra, Mukul Chaddha and Vaibhavi Upadhyay, 'Zero KMS' revolves around the story of the son of a cop, wrongfully imprisoned for 10 years, Arjun (played by Tanmay). The story deals with themes of gory, dark reality simultaneously. The performances are good. However, the screenplay, in its entirety, turned out half baked. The set, with great actors and a good plot lacks a powerful, convincing direction. A nice, decent watch though.

Chacha Vidhayak Hain Humare is a Prime Original created and produced by the ever-beloved and desi sakht luanda, Zakir Khan, who gives you a dose of laughter through your Amazon Prime screens apart from his funny and relatable stand-ups. We have all known some character in our lives who has exploited or simply boasted of his relations with powerful people of our land. In a funny take on this idea, this series leaves you in splits. However, it offers you no new themes to revel in. The classic type of comedy, quintessential of Zakir, pervades the story. Overall, a fun watch.

Dobi reviewed Summer Love
A Pakistani web series, 'Summer Love', is a result of the collaboration between Cornetto and Teeli Productions. It is a story of two people, seemingly opposite, in fact poles apart if you may, working together on an internship and getting over their prejudices and feeling the warmth of love bubbling inside them for each other. This offers you with a breezy, light hearted narrative that is beautiful. Well made and beset with decent performances, this is a treat from across the borders.

Dobi reviewed Bekaaboo
Bekaboo, an ALT Balaji Original, is the story of an erotica novelist, Kiyaan Roy and his paramour turned blackmailer, Kashti. A theme of obsession and love and hate forms the undercurrent of the narrative. With performances by Priya Banerjee, Rajeev Sidhhartha and Madhussneha Upadhyay, it's a poorly made show that ends up disappointing its viewers. The rawness of the story is something you can't get over. In all, a one-time watch if you're hell bent on viewing it.

Starring Varun Thakur and Bhupesh Singh in lead roles, 'Shaitaan Haveli' is a humorous take on the horrors-sex genre that plagued our film industry in the 1980s. This show is hilariously entertaining and a quirky make with an unconventional premise. Unique in its own way, this had a lot to offer. Unfortunately though, it drags on for too long and ends up losing its charm in the process. Overall, it makes for decent one-time watch.

With an excellent star cast- Patralekha Paul, Anupriya Goenka, Vijay Sharma, 'Friends.Reunion.Goa', produced by Cheers, revolves around the story of four friends who plan a reunion, years after they have completed college. What follows is something dreams of all friends are made of - a vacation in Goa, nostalgia running along the shores of the beaches and reminiscences of the past. The story seems grounded in its origin and its portrayal. The performances are great. However, a more nuanced take was missed while watching the series. Overall, a decent watch.
