Horror fiction entailing on reality.
A take on the femlae infacticides that takes place in North-western cities of the country has been highlighted in the movie. It has been portrayed in a way that it makes people aware of the crime. Starts with the usual paranormal synopsis, Kaali Khuhi inclines to portray a supernatural factors played a pivotal in the entire movie. The story mainly revolves around the small girl Shivangi, played by Riva Arora.
The dark themed movie talks about the revenge that the entity of a small girl seeks to take from her family members. As per the rituals, the girl children used to get killed by being thrown into the well, which was named with the title of the movie, Kaali Khuhi or the black well.
With a quiet confusing drops, the movie has shown four generations fighting their own battle. First is the grand ma, who was the light bearer of the ritual from the family. Aparently her daughter who was killed later became the bawling spirit who went on a siege by killing people. This old lady keeps on harrassing her daughter-in-law for not taking the pills, which was supposed to bring her a male-child. The second generation played by Satya, played by Shabana Azmi, who had a turmoil faced while her daughter was taken to be killed. She gets the memories of her daughter which is a made-up hallucination , probably created by the entity, or her own guilt.
The third generation is being portrayed Sanjeeda Shaikh, who played the role of Shivangi's mother, Priya. She has a little to contribute in the story, other than her protest of not letting Shivangi to suffer for being a girl child. The fourth and last generation has been played by Shivangi, who got struck in this strange politics and paranormal activities. But as the story proceeds towards the end, she proved to be the one, who solved the apparent issue.
Although a various folds are yet to be covered, the story over-all captures a story-line, that gets a few sudden flashbacks which make its impossible enough to realise the difference between the story-based fiction and the reality, it is trying to show. Not a very horrific, in terms of the horror genre, but is a good one to follow.

Men and their impetuous rage!
A tale of friendship, love and revenge has run down to portray the loss of innocence as the shades of life turn out to be murkier. The movie opens with an errand of violence, starring Pulkit Samrat in the skin of Sunny. He attempts to kill a man in the loo by crashing his skull.
Soon, the mood of the story changes to a brighter hue featuring the NRI residents of England. There was the presence of Rohan, played by Jim Sarbh, whose acquaintance was Sunny, whose role has been played by Pulkit Samrat. He came back home to attend his brother’s wedding. There we also get to introduce with Sunny’s Pakistani girlfriend, Afra, portrayed by Kriti Kharbanda.
The story didn’t confide to only one family. It got extended to the rival family featuring Harshvardhan Rane as Pali, who is in love with his elder brother’s wife, Jahaan, played by Sanjeeda Sheikh. This unrequited love story takes a rough flow throughout. However, the taste of the plot gets bitter when the elder brother, Kuljinder Singh appears to attend the wedding. There is a massive wind from the past blows between the two that leaves a trail of major bloodshed throughout the series.
As Rohan sets out to take his revenge on behalf of his friend, a series of unethical and violent events enlisted the series. The title, Taish, has gloried better in the last few halves of the story, where the revenge chapters get much clear contrasting to the first part that that depicts more on the wedding scenes.
Taish talks briefly about the unmanageable anger issues underlying the lead characters and their actions. The unfortunate conclusion of the unjustified anger has to be filled with blood and death. The theme talks about revenge that shifts a man’s innocence within a fraction of second. Therefore, it serves as a warning on the warm plate that needs to cool down before diving to devour it.
The wonderful cinematography has to steal the appreciation. Apart from that, the acting skill of the team is a mixed performance which could have been better in a few instances. Nambiar has worked beautifully in crafting out the plot. However, a tighter deliverance was preferred.

Horror, Comedy And Revenge but the same old vfx effects!
After Bhul Bhoolaiyaa, this is the second venture of Akshay Kumar on ghost!
Started with the glimpse of a deserted place, the movie has given out hints about the forthcoming series horrible incidents that are going to take place. But what about it is a comedy movie? You still have to wait upto a considerate amount of time to get a hold on the humour sequence. Still, then stay tuned to what happens next. The next sequence gives the humorous entry of Akshay Kumar, who then and there takes the famous challenge. It says, “Jisdin mere samne bhoot ayega toh maa kasam chudiya pehen lunga, chudiya!” This becomes the root of all the other things.
Amid the romance between Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani, the supernatural entity took a grand introduction when Akshay Kumar and team went to play a match on the ground. Soon the story takes the supernatural turn. The rotting of the plant-root to the weeping sound at midnight, all the mainstream things started taking place in the paternal house of Kiara Advani. The scaring sequence went on for another few minutes, when finally after drinking the blood-soaked lemon-grass-tea, Akshay Kumar or Asif started incorporating a different personality and behaved like a transgender woman. This is the indication that Akshay Kumar has been possessed by the spirit.
The real action takes places when Laxmi jumps into the scene to take revenge. There takes a new turn as a set of new characters get introduced in the movie. Meanwhile, the family tries every spiritual method to get rid of the “Queen” that Akshay Kumar aka Asif has been transformed into. The story then gets back to its root cause. A flashback starts to gets played as the entity narrates the struggle it has gone through, while alive. Through a series of a tragic death, Laxmi became the spirit seeking revenge for her betrayal and death. However, the character of Asif was finally saved from the hands of the entity, after a few incidents that followed.
The leading roles have been played by Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani was featured in the skin of his wife. Sharad Kelkar played the role of Laxmi when she was alive. Kiara Advani‘s family members included Ayesha Raza Mishra and Rajesh Sharma as her mom and dad, respectively. Apart from them, the negative role casts Tarun Arora as Girja.
With a tinge of a few social constraints like inter-caste marriage, the right for transgenders and the blind-faith on supernatural existence, Laxmii has tried its best to talk about the negative associations. However, it might not have lived upto the expectations of the audience.

Light-hearted comedy with a tinge of simplicity
A fine story based on the rural setting, where a boy landed up with a government job, finds it odd to settle down. If you have read the short story Postmaster by Rabindranath Tagore, you can relate to the web series majorly. Just like the Postmaster, Abhishek Tripathy, the lead character also "felt like a fish out of water in this remote village."
If you have ever been to a rural landscape, you might have noticed there are a bunch of cons and only a few pros. Anyone from the cosmopolitan city will never be ready to settle down there. Imagine getting recruited and transferred to a rural area with a minimum salary and a pile of bore-stricken task among the elderly people from the locality. That was the life Abhishek Tripathi, played by Jitendra Kumar, was leading in Phulera, Uttarpradesh.
In the heart of his mind, Abhishek was keen on cracking CAT exams to secure an IIM admission. But to dream is hard and to make it real is harder. After working all day long as the Village Secretory, at night before studying he had to ensure he had enough light and also had to cook his own meals. The utter simplicity with no same-aged companion started to becoming monotonous to him. Although he tried a set-back to escape reality, it came with a cost. He got his monitor stolen.
A fine delight aroused as Raghuvir in the skin of Pradhanpati tried his best to convince his wife that he can be a suitable man to tie the knot with their daughter, Rinki. Although, it took a halt there. But it is expected that the audience will be witnessing a love affair between the two in the forthcoming season.
A series of a few rustic actions took place that literally irritated him. However, it was in the last episode, that he realised the compassion the villagers had for him. This ends down on a note that says, all's well that ends well.
