You know those cartoonish, crowd-pleaser films that get slapped onto DVD about dogs who become national superstars by doing something a real dog wouldn't do, and act very little like the animals they're supposed to be and too much like human beings even before the selling point begins?

How about those silly B-movies in which otherwise tame creatures attack the city before someone comes up with a remedy for the situation, all for the sake of some kind of social commentary?

Well, White God is one of each.

Why would this sort of thing even be made besides the lack of animated comedies for adults only? Did anyone animating this read the script and find any kind of hum--

Outdated rumour or not, you have to give Don Bluth credit for doing a pretty glorious caricature of Grigori Rasputin concerning every piss-take made about his undead body, and turning this dead girl into who so far is the only princess from any animation studio to both take revenge on and kill the villain all by herself.

When many animated family films, CG or otherwise, tend to forget what animation means exactly and are destined to be as whimsical or rude as possible, occasionally invoking bad influences into our children, The Little Prince is all we need to help inspire them as well as us grown-ups to proceed through adulthood without forgetting who we are at heart. It's essential that you see this when it comes to your country. Essential.

What can I say about this film that hasn't been said before, or won't have already been said by the general public once they've seen it?





Well, as worth the hype as it is, it's still no Turkish Star Wars.
But then again, no movie is Turkish Star Wars.
