Hero ban gaya Harshvardhan!
Director Vikramaditya Motwane is back after a well attempted film Trapped which was released last year. The Harshvardhan Kapoor starrer film is under the production house of Phantom. Written and directed by Motwane, this is an action+drama of an Indian Superhero, called Bhavesh Joshi, who fights against wrong.

It is a tale of two friends, who are inspired from a party to getting justice. And ended up making 'Insaaf Duo'. They make videos of people doing wrong things, & then upload them on social media. One of them gets settled with his job. The other one is still doing to save his country and countrymen. One day a case has been come to him about water crisis. How he will solve it, or what this case is bringing to him and his partner, is the story of this film.

Phantom production always brings to us something fresh. This is not a marvel or DC film, where we can see some superhero flying. Here we see a common man fighting for all common men. Water crisis is the biggest crime one can ever do. I mean, here there is no problem of that. But I'm sure this film is surely based on some facts. To understand what this type of crisis is, and how normal people are affected to this, you have to see this film. I am thankful to the makers, for showing this crime on celluloid.

Harshvardhan Kapoor is superb. This film is his true debut film. He is the perfect choice of Sikku in this film. Priyanshu and Ashish give solid support. Shreiyah Sabharwal looks stunning. Nishikant and other badmen deliver good performances.

What I like the most, is background score. Though, there are not any song in the film. Except two in the background. Chavanprash sounds cool to me. Qasam Kha Li is suitable in the flow. But, hat's off for the subtle background score in the entire film. No high, no low, to the mark!

Overall, this film is surely an one time watch. Chase sequences are damn cool. The entire climax portion is superb, too. People, who are watching this film over Veere, are generally boys. They will surely remember Harsh's avtaar for a longer time. 'Hero paida nahi hota, banta hai.' Thumps up for the real life superhero. Go for it.

Raju Hirani che to Paisa Wasool Che! +Bonus=Ranbir & Vicky!
While I am writing this, it is happening that- with the highest opening collection of this year, Sanju is on the way of becoming another blockbuster by Rajkumar Hirani. Ranbir Kapoor as Sanjay Dutt has done absolutely fantastic job. Thus, this is becoming the highest grosser of his career (till now).

Film should only be taken as a film. This is not an attempt of Hirani to change public and their mindsets toward Sanju and his film career, jail sentence and personal life. It is just a Bollywood flick. And audience is getting it. After 34cr on day one, 38cr on day two, Today it will enter into 100cr club. And believe me, it is worth a watch.

Sanjay Dutt has very limited period of time with his mother. Though the relation between them is shown superbly. Two strongest bonds which we see in the film are father-son and Sanju-Kamli (His friend). It's amazing to see how one can survive in hard situations because of his father and a friend. Film is giving a good message of not to loose good people in life. Also, change your company if it changes you into something which is harmful to you or your family. I will write on and on but leaving it and hoping that you will find more inspirations from Sanju's life story.

Ranbir Kapoor is as usual fantastic. What amazed me this time is, when he entered on screen with a muscular body in the gym. Manisha Koirala is superb in her role as Nargis. Anushka Sharma and Diya Mirza are there as a biographer and Manyata Dutt respectively. They both are fine in their spaces. Jim Sarbh has very small role and he has done accordingly. (No! He's not there as Sallu.) Karishma Tanna as Pinky is okay. Sonam is good here. Boman & Mahesh Manjrekar are entertaining in their special appearances.

Apart from Ranbir, we all are expecting something great from both Paresh Rawal as well as Vicky Kaushal. Paresh as Sunil Dutt has done incredible job. In his interviews, Paresh had said that he was worried about bringing the equal integrity and positiveness which Dutt Saáb had. I think he has done it rightly! In the film, Sanju says that these two are his Gods, and only because of these two, he's alive! I think each person deserves one friend like Kamlesh or a father like Sunil or if possible then both! Vicky is superb! Super entertaining as well as full of emotions. These three (Ranbir, Paresh and Vicky) make the film completely worth a watch. In fact i heard many saying they will go for second time as well.

I have no doubt in music department. Some are saying it has not good songs. But actually, there is just a single complete song which is Kar Har Maidaan Fateh. Which I think suits in the film as well as without the context of the film. Sukhvinder Singh's voice roars in the hall like a Tiger's. Scenes of rehab center have been shot well. Ravi's cinematography is cool. And brilliant in the scenes of Drugs, Bathroom, America, etc. The drug song called Ruby Ruby takes you to another level but for some seconds only. Written by Irshad Kamil and composed by Rahman, it is worth listening to in the earplugs. Main Badhiya is not a song, just an antra is there in the film. Another one featuring Karishma Tanna has also only an antra that too without music. So there is just a single song and it is worthy enough.

My favourite scenes are: Explanations of three good lyricists of Indian Cinema which were like Ustadji to Sunil Dutt; 'Tere jaisa yaar kahan' sequence; Last moment with Nargisji; Untold speech; 'Jaadu ki Jhappi' from Munnabhai MMBS.

Film will collect more than 300cr. People are loving the film. Hirani is a true filmmaker who makes film for everyone. Don't go to judge Sanjay Dutt. Learn to accept what he is. Bacause I am sure, you don't like it when someone judges you! Treat others equally as you treat yourself. This film is not making him hero or something, this is just an unusual story of a man called Sanjay Dutt, happens to be an actor, a public figure.

'Ghee che to Ghapaghap che' and 'Hirani che to Paisa Wasool che!' This emotional journey is not to be missed. Got tears in many scenes. My regards to Sanjay (from a boy who is not his fan) Love you Sanju!

Viewers, do try some different things!
On the occasion of 100 years of Indian Cinema, four Bollywood directors came up with four short stories and combined them as a feature film- Bombay Talkies. It was a fresh move. So, they are coming together once again for another anthology, called Lust Stories.

As the name suggests, this film talks about lust in human beings. Basically, it is a women centric anthology. Because each story has a female protagonist. The stories are in the reverse order of what we'd seen in Bombay Talkies. That means, the order is Anurag Kashyap, Zoya Akhtar, Dibakar Banerjee & Karan Johar.

Last time, most significant story was by Anurag according to the title. This time too, he has come up with pitch perfect story according to the given subject, that is lust. Radhika Apte plays a complicated housewife cum professor cum lover. Akash Thosar plays his character fine. It is Radhika's brilliant performance which will leave you awestruck after it gets over.

Zoya's story is unexpected. Because, I had a story written by me last year, and this is exactly the same. Though, I had written longer than it. I am not saying that it is a fraud. But, having same thoughts are common. I am extremely surprised to see this type of story to be made as a film. Hat's off for that. Not much dialogues is the major plus point. Bhoomi's eyes speak all.

Dibakar Banerjee is a mastermind. His story is so simple that one can easily feels that I had seen this type of stories. But the execution is the best. Among four, best director is undoubtedly Dibakar. Manisha Koirala, Jaideep Ahlawat and Sanjay Kapoor have given their best. While watching, you cn not leave that frame and think about the next scene. It is simply a brilliant craft. That last look of Manisha is awesome!

And the last story by Karan Johar is on sexual satisfaction. Kaira Advani and Vicky Kaushal along with Neha Dhupia are there in the most odd (as it's the only comedy sort film among four) film of this Lust Stories. You will laugh out loud when a filmmaker is trying his own old song on a very opposite action. I am damn sure that that part is an idiotic as well as a typical filmy scene that only Karan can do. I am not sure it is suitable here in this anthology or not, but it speaks about an actual problem which a lady suffers. Those who want only entertainment, can directly watch this one. Other intellectuals will find 1st or 3rd as 'The Best'.

Overall, save your money by avoiding stupid Race3. Reviews are out. Everyone is unhappy with it. Instead, wait for Sanju. And if you have Netflix, then make up this weekend with this anthology- Lust Stories. Other links are there as well for download. This will save your money and time, because you can watch it anywhere & anytime! The subject itself is bold, that there are no bold scenes required. So don't watch it for that purpose. It is for selected audience, but you can give it a try. This will give out a great message that lust is a different word than sex. So viewers, sometimes do try different things.

Piyush Arya
I heard Karan Johar's story stood out, rest were average. But yeah given the choices, this movie is all we have this weekend. Curious for Zoya's story which matched with yours :)
Maulin Parmar
@PiyushArya No, I think Karan's film is much simpler than rest. Anurag n Dibarak are taking care of the given subject, which is Lust. Though, Karan's film is too LOL. While I had written a story last year which is similar to Zoya's story. But her story is very tiny. With almost 1% dialogues. When you see it, you will like the first onne the most. But then also, tell me your reaction after watching it. :)

A Must Watch Patriotic Film
Directed by Abhishek Sharma, Parmanu is a film based on true incident of nuclear testing in India (1998). Film features John Abraham, Diana Penty, Boman Irani and Anuja Sathe in prominent characters. It speaks about the historical event of India becoming a nuclear state.

First of all, let me tell you frankly that I was not going for this movie till the last night. Somehow I felt that it's going to be a boring film as what will they show about nuclear test! But last night, I read one tweet praising about it. So I made up my mind to take a risk. Believe me, I am extremely satisfied now!

What went through during the test of nuclear, that also with super secrecy from entire world, especially CIA. There is a constant pace that the film continues on with lot's of happening in between. There is a strong emotional factor, too. And above all, the patriotism makes it a worthy watch for every Indian.

John Abraham is at his best. Many will say that this is his best film in the entire career. Also, he is a producer of this film. There were some issues, and because of that the film's future went in danger. But he somehow manages to break all the odds and Today he made it to the theatres as well. Kudos to him for lifting up such a story which the entire nation needs to know.

Diana Penty looks perfect for the role. She acts beautifully and looks charming. Anuja Sathe delivers a solid performance as a wife of John. Boman Irani is excellent. His conversation scenes with John are the best! Supporting cast, especially the Pandavas have done a great job. They keep you engage as well as entertain throughout.

Music by Sachin-Jigar adds an element of Rajasthani touch. Folk tunes and voices are very much relatable to the story and situation. Sapna by Arijit is my favourite from this album.

Location adds thrill to the story. Storms and sands are captured well. The whole setup of plant was developed superb. It is hard to crew for the setup pf 1998 in the current year, but they have done it nicely. Though, the blast could have been shown better. Although, it is nice now. Usage of old footage such as speech by Bajpayee is also good.

Overall, this film should not be missed. You will feel proud for sure. This film is an ode to our engineers and scientists. And that too in a thriller format. John Abraham and Abhishek Sharma deserve applaud for making such a wonderful film. And I wish John will make such films in future as well (like his production house did in the past). So, a must watch story of Pokhran. 4/5.

Just good, nothing much
Marvel is on the roll! After fantastic and super successful Avengers Infinity War, Deadpool is arrived to entertain public. With the solid comic elements, 1st installment of this franchise got fantastic response. And so do we all are expecting with the second edition.

Ryan Raynolds as Deadpool is just become a part of X Men trainee. But, as you all know about his mischievousness, he tries to overdo things (to entertain us!) In the meantime, because of the biggest loss in his life, he changes a lot. Tries different things. But as we all know him, he changes accordingly but with the same behaviour. I am not telling anything about the storyline, because it will become spoiler. It is because of the simple story of this part.

I have seen it in Hindi. As the first one was super cool in Hindi! Also, every superhero films have to be seen in Hindi language, for the extra amount of humour! As we were thrilled to see 1st part and its comic timing because it was natural and unexpected. Here, the problem is there are only punchlines, nothing else! Too much is also harmful for the cinematic experience. I felt that film and characters are speaking constantly non-sense! Hehehe. Yeah, may be because of poor dubbing. Or even unmatchable Ranveer Singh! There are some moments when the whole theatre split apart. But they were very few moments. Even it was stupid that he saying like Ranveer toh India ka best actor hai! Hahaha... He even tries to promote all his films with SLB! Ufff.... Having said that, I would like to say that usage of old Hindi songs in Hollywood films surely make you smile.

Undoubtedly, post credit scene in this part was fantastic. Never seen like this before. I want to write about that part, but have to stop here! Hehe.

Some slow motion scenes were fantabulous. But, if you want my honest review, I am not satisfied with this part. This happens many a times that in a franchise, mostly the least part has been the second one! I will put Deadpool in the same category. May be because I have seen it in Hindi, may be because I have seen the ultimate Avengers Infinity War just in last month, or the biggest reason is- May be because I'd seen the first installment just yesterday! These are the assumptions of mine for not getting the feel of Paisa Wasool! May be I am wrong, or may be not!

Best scene is jumping from the plane with the entire X-Force team. I am eager to see what will they bring to us in the third part after watching the post credit scene here. So, on the whole, it is just a one time watch film for fans. 3/5.

Meghna+Alia+Vicky = A Must Watch. (Ae Watan song is superb!)
Based on an incredible true story, Raazi is a tribute to unknown heroes of our nation in war time zone. Directed by Meghna Gulzar, who had directed extremely well movie- Talvar in past, this film tells a story about a normal and simple Indian girl, and her journey from being a daughter to a wife and to a spy. One more factor is also there, but am not revealing now because you will get it at the end.

Alia Bhatt plays a character of Sehmat, who is an Indian spy married to a Pakistani military officer (Vicky Kaushal) during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971 on the order of her father. Would she get success to pass on information from Pakistan to India without getting caught and to help Indian forces to stop the war or fight back to Pakistan.... For that go and watch Raazi.

It is an adaptation of Harinder Sikka’s novel 'Calling Sehmat'. Screenplay has been written by Meghna and Bhavani Iyer. Dialogues are written by Meghna. Some dialogues are outstanding. 'Watan Ke Aage Kuch Nahi, Khud Bhi Nahi... Mohabbat Bhi Nahi!' One more is there, when one is declaring about his cancer, he says that- 'Smoking To Ki Nahi Kabhi... Magar Shayad Zindagi ke Kash Thode Lambe Le Liye...!' What a line man! Only a daughter of a great poet can write such!

Alia Bhatt has delivered another award winning performance. Till now in this year, she is the deserving one. First time you will see her crying. Especially, in that scene where she is asking his officer about how to balance between life, emotions and duty in war, because it is the toughest one. VIcky Kaushal is as usaul superb. He has less dialogues, but his silences speak more. The gun scene with Alia is the best scene of these two actors. Jaideep Ahlawat has done commendable job. He is always good. But this time he is on another level. Along with Rajit Kapur and Soni Razdan, rest are good, too.

Lyrics by Gulzar Saheb and Music by Shankar Ehsaan Loy. Dilbaro is pure Kashmiri folk song on the perfect situation of marriage saying- 'Mudke Na Dekho Dilbaro!' Raazi title track is engaging. Whenever Arijit's voice starts in the hall, some magic happens everytime in this film. School annual function song by Sunidhi and the same song in Arijit Singh's voice - 'Ae Watan'- is the best song that Gulzar Saheb can give us in this decade. What a melody man! Looks like a classic old hindi film tune. For the film situated in 1971, this is the best patriotic song one can ever make! I am so proud of this song... 'Main Jahan Rahun Jahaan Mein Yaad Rahe Tu, Ae Watan... Mere Watan!'

I knew that this film would be superb. But this song has uplifted it more. But the same time, it's touching the deepest portion of heart. Human is very complicated creature. Human is not a robot. For anyone, it is hard to be a robot. One can try one's best, but one can't delete the function of emotions from the body. Without emotions, there is no living. Salute to those heroes who are living without emotions so that millions of people from their countries can live happily!

If a girl can go to this level for her father and her nation, what can you or I do at current position! The question is unanswered by me. I am still thinking (while writing as well!) The more I think of it, the more I am getting deeper in the thought.

The story of a courageous girl is definitely a Must Watch. You'll feel proud of such unsung heroes of your country. Feel the emotions of them. Feel the tension of espionage. Feel the heat of war. As they say- In the War, nothing is important than War, neither you, nor me!

Fun. Emotion. Drama. Paisa Wasool. Life Lesson. Two Legends in one frame. Yo!
102NotOut : An unusual story of father and son- is adopted from the successful Gujarati play by the same name, written and directed by Saumya Joshi. Amitabh Bachchan as 102 years old man and Rishi Kapoor as 75 years old man are in the lead, & the film is directed by Umesh Shukla.

Dattatraya Vakhariya wants to break the record of a Chinese man who lived 118 years. He gives two options to his son Babulal Vakhariya to either leave his home and live in an old age home or to change himself into a happy and delightful person by agreeing to his terms! And the film takes its pace after one by another challenges which are given to Babulal.

It is a blessing to watch both the legends on the same screen! They are back after 27 years! Amitabh Bachchan plays his role brilliantly. And I know, you are bored of reading this line in every film of his! Rishi Kapoor gives one of the best performances of his career. The pair of these two is fabulous. One more actor is there to entertain you- Jimit Trivedi. Every Gujarati movie lover knows him well because of Gujjubhai Movies. He plays a character of Dhiru with great conviction. His wit is quite enough for audiences to laugh out loud. Especially, the scene of him describing Bamboo trees!

Post interval, many scenes are full of emotion. I have seen the play three times. Each time I've enjoyed it a lot. Despite the fact that I knew what's going to happen next, I cried a lot in post interval! And that is unbelievable...! This can only happen if actors are creating some magic. Even I can also say that the script is also well developed, that every time you can feel the emotion. Now, it is clear on my mind that I love cinema more than theatre, so for me Today is the realization day! Thanks to 102 not out. And special thanks to the background music team, for providing suitable environment.

Just two songs are there- Kulfi & Bachche Ki Jaan, which are suitable to the flow. The usage of old Hindi movie songs are fantastic. Zindagi Mere Ghar Aana and Waqt Ne Kiya Haseen Sitam are still fresh. Like it is shown in film, just try these songs on speaker in night to feel the magic. I can give you my guarantee that if you do it once, you'll do it more often.

Umesh K Shukla has done a good job. Pulling of a script based on a play and that too on such a high level is not an easy task. Editing is crisp. Usage of cartoons are commendable. Set design is as per the script. Costumes are well and good. The Happy Street scene at the end is fantastic. I feel that there are some scenes where characters are happy and celebrating, but as an audience, we get tears in eyes. This scene is one of them! I can not explain in words that how was I feeling at the time when Bachchan and Kapoor were dancing in the rain. Uff...

'Aulaad Agar Nalayak Nikale, To Usey Bhool Jana Chahiye... Sirf Unka Bachpan Yaad Rakhna Chahiye!' - There are many well written dialogues in the film by Saumya Joshi. The love letter scene is too good! As well as the church scene. I must say here that Rishi Kapoor has delivered a very strong performance.

Word of mouth will become this Amitabh-Rishi starrer film's main weapon to destroy Thanos and it'll run successfully at Box Office. Gujaratis do watchout this film for its Gujarati elements. You will never regret of giving your 102 minutes to this wonderful movie- 102 not out. So, go for it guys, learn to live life thoroughly... Yo!

Bit slow, Irrfan steals, Good music by Amit Trivedi
Film has Irrfan in the lead and that is fine enough for somebody to decide whether he is going to watch or not! Director Abhinay Deo is back in his favorite genre - Dark Comedy.

Well, comedy is something which one enjoys loudly while seeing it. One laughs out loud or cheers mainly in comic scenes. But here, not a single person in the hall was laughing. Actually, I was the only one who laughed at some points in the film. So, I would not term this film a Dark Comedy, but a Dark Humour.

Film is about Dev (Irrfan) who finds out one night that his wife (Kirti) is cheating on him. Because of EMIs and other interests, he decides to blackmail his wife- Reena's lover for some money. The lover boy (Arunoday Singh) asks for money to his wife Dolly (Divya Dutta). But her parents want the amount back from him. So, Lover Boy also blackmails his lover a.k.a. Dev's wife. Eventually, Dev is giving money to his wife which later he collects from that Lover boy. Meanwhile, colleagues of Dev also come in the picture to make some money. The chain becomes extremely complicated. For unlocking it, watch out this one.

Irrfan is superb. The scene of him running from his house after getting shocked to see his wife with another man is fantastic. Kirti is suitable and good. Arunoday delivers a good performance. Divya Dutta is as usual classy. Omi Vaidya is nice, too. Anuja Sathe plays an important role along with Pradhuman Singh and Gajraj Rao.

After Irrfan, the major plus point of this film is its music and songs. Amit Trivedi has given superb songs. First time I enjoyed all the rap songs in a film. Each and every song is perfect according to the story line. Lyrics has been written accordingly as well. 'Bewafa Beauty Pyaar Mein Cheating Kar Gayi!' Urmila Matondkar is there too in this item song. 'Nindaraan Diyaan' & 'Sataasat' are perfect. Patola and Happy Happy are not in the film, but they're also good.

Abhinay Deo is a good director. Each scene has its own element. First song of the film where Irrfan is all alone in the office and goes to bathroom says it all. The detailing of each posters and usage of props are up to the mark.

Though, this film is not as good as Delhi Belly. It is very slow. If you don't like to see new concepts in films, you will never gonna complete this film. Background score is superb. But still, we feel too much length of many scenes. Good editing or a good screenplay could have put this film in the league of classics. As of now, if you have patience, than only you will love it. Also, post interval part is not that slow as the pre-interval part. The game is happening till the last frame. So if you are giving it a chance, wait for the end. You will surely feel that- 'The time spent well'!

On the whole, pray for Irrfan's speedy recovery. Take your time along with you to enjoy his latest dark humour- Blackmail! 3/5*.

One time watch for Tiger n his stunts!
Tiger Shroff is back in his space of action packed masala movie, called Baaghi 2. The first installment of the franchise got success at Box Office. This time, he is back with more action and more aggression.

Film starts with an attack on Neha (Disha). She calls army man Ranveer (Tiger), who was her boyfriend 4 years ago in college. She asks for help to find her daughter who was kidnapped 2 months ago in that attack. Ranveer tries out every possible thing to find Neha's daughter. But he comes up with nothing. There are so many characters to look for in the first half. It is not possible to judge who is right and who is not! The interval point is very crucial. Till then, one can't stop thinking about what has happened! To know more, go to the theater.

Tiger Shroff is born to play these kind of roles. Audience is happy to see him in action flick. This is my first film of his in theater. To be honest, I like him, not as an actor, but as a star. Also, he is the ground level star, who flies in the air to kick somebody! Kudos to him as well as his fitness.

Disha looks pretty. She plays her role safely. Her chemistry is nice with Tiger. I don't know about their real life love story, but this reel love story works in the film. One Punjabi party song is there to entertain the audience, in which both have danced well. The Atif Aslam track is the hit one, and suits in the film. Overall, college romance has been shown nicely.

Randeep Hooda and Manoj Bajpaee are suerb. Especially, Randeep in his beard look. He actually looks like a charsi from Goa. But, let me tell you that he plays the role of ACP. Deepak Dobrial is fine. Prateik looks superb, but acts average. Darshan is good as usual.

Second half is full of action. I loved that shot in which Tiger is running with two machine guns and around 10 men are coming towards him. Helicopter scene is good too. Some comedy has been created in fight sequences. But I also felt that people were getting bored with so much of action. And that too for nothing! Though, I didn't feel like boring at all. It was just, the end fight was much bigger than it actually needed. But, it is a Nadiadwala Movie, we have to wait for the bigger!

The most idiotic or dumb part of this film is the recreation song - Ek Do Teen. It was just too bad. Forget about beats, what the hell was the dance step! Miss Fernandiz looks absolutely boyish! Item girl has to be sexy, but here, we're seeing an item girl with muscles and abs! Also, I have heard that the makers of Tezaab had sued the makers of this film for demolishing their classic number. I am with them, I also want to stop this non sense. For the sake of publicity, no one can touch classics to convert them into torture.

On the whole, for Great Sequences, lot's of Twists in Story, Power Packed Tiger Shroff, Funny Man Randeep Hooda and Atif Aslam's song, I am giving 2.75*/5. One time watch for sure. It will be a hit at B.O. and Tiger will roar again next year in third installment.
