The Married Woman : Season 1

Astha and Aijaz who hail from very different backgrounds end up working together on a play. They gradually grow fond of each other. One day, vandals arrive at the theatre to threaten Aijaz.

Aijaz gifts Astha a book of poems; she begins to fall in love with him but he likes her as only a friend. Astha's family does not want her to attend the play due to the ongoing riots, but she decides to go regardless. After the play, she congratulates Aijaz and confesses her love for him.

Astha and Hemant are hosting a party. Timsi wishes to speak to Astha about an urgent matter. Later, Timsi elopes with Mudassar and Peeplika helps the two lovers get married against their families’ wishes. Astha arrives at the art gallery and meets Peeplika.

Timsi and Mudassar show up unexpectedly at Timsi's parents' house. Hemant calls Mudassar’s parents to talk about the situation. Astha asks Peeplika to help resolve the matter and the two families accept the marriage. Later, Astha consoles a sad Peeplika.

Astha is confused about her feelings. Peeplika arrives at Astha's home for Timsi and Mudassar's wedding. When Peeplika confronts Astha, she denies her emotions but Peeplika encourages her to accept her true self.

Babbo becomes suspicious of Astha and Peeplika's friendship and confides in Hemant. Peeplika shares some pleasant and unpleasant memories from her past with Astha. When Babbo takes Astha shopping, she makes an excuse and goes to meet Peeplika's mother instead.

The entire city is under curfew due to the ongoing riots. But Astha manages to find a way to meet Peeplika who invites her to a relief camp. Hemant finds out that Astha has been lying to him about her plans.

Hemant suspects Astha of cheating and is saddened by her sudden disappearance. Astha tries to explain herself upon her return from the relief camp. Peeplika wants Astha to meet her friends. Later, Astha is on her way to meet Mudassar but things take a turn when the riots break out again.

Astha's mother visits Hemant and her on the occasion of their 11th wedding anniversary. Babbo taunts Sunita over Astha's recent actions. Peeplika shows up at the anniversary celebration. Babbo catches Astha and Peeplika getting intimate with each other.

Babbo informs Hemant about Astha and Peeplika's intimate moment. Peeplika is offered a new job in Paris and wants Astha to accompany her. Hemant confronts Astha regarding her relationship with Peeplika. Astha decides to move to Paris after a heated argument with Hemant.

Astha starts training her kids to be self-dependent as she prepares to begin a new life with Peeplika. Later, she learns about Peeplika's past and confronts her before taking her final decision.
