Air date: 03 Feb '03 - 3 episodesThe Legend of Tarzan is an American animated television series created by The Walt Disney Company in 2001, based on the Tarzan character created by Edgar Rice Burroughs. The series aired on ABC from July 13 to September 7, 2002 as part of its "Disney's One Saturday Morning" lineup. It was initially meant as first original series though ultimately shunted to UPN's "Disney's One Too" lineup. The Legend of Tarzan picks up where the 1999 feature film left off, with the title character adjusting to his new role as leader of the apes following Kerchak's death, and Jane adjusting to life in the jungle. Rounding out the cast are Jane's father, Professor Archimedes Q. Porter; Tantor, the germophobic elephant; and Terk, a wisecracking female gorilla and Tarzan's old wrestling buddy.

03 Feb '03Jane's friends, Eleanor, Greenley, and Hazel, thinking Jane is in trouble, come to rescue her. When they find her and everything is explained, they fret Jane has changed. So, to prove she hasn't, Jane takes them on a picnic in the jungle. That's when trouble comes up.

2. Tarzan and the Volcanic Diamond Mine
04 Feb '03Two sneaky men named Johannes Niels and Merkus come and want Tarzan to take them to the volcano on the other side of the jungle to look for diamonds. Tarzan agrees as long as he gets a diamond for Jane in return. Little does he realize, Niels and Merkus are planning to kill him when the diamonds are collected--or that the gang is following them.

3. Tarzan and the Flying Ace
05 Feb '03A bush pilot (and an old friend of Jane) named Bobby Canler comes to visit Jane, but Tarzan senses something bad about him. He later is convinced he's just jealous so he backs off. Unfortunately for everyone, Tarzan was right: Bobby's a double agent!
