Spoorloos Plot
Rex and Saskia are enjoying a biking holiday in France when, stopping at a gas station, Saskia disappears. Confounded, Rex searches everywhere, but to no avail. Three years later, he's still obsessed with finding her, pleading his case on television, putting up posters and ruining his new relationship in the process. Eventually an unassuming chemistry teacher, Raymond, approaches Rex, intimating that he knows what happened.

A slow burn look into mind of sociopath
Spoorloos is definitely a challenging film to watch. I, for one felt it was too slow but in that pace it worked magic. A story which maintains suspense to the very last scene and an antagonist who was so chilling that legendary director Kubrick personally congratulated the director for writing such a character. A villain who does things only to prove to himself that he can do those things kidnaps a woman and the hunt for her by her boyfriend comprises the story.
