Dangerous Lies Plot
After losing her waitressing job, Katie Franklin takes a job as a caretaker to a wealthy elderly man in his sprawling, empty Chicago estate. The two grow close, but when he unexpectedly passes away and names Katie as his sole heir, she and her husband Adam are pulled into a complex web of lies, deception, and murder. If she's going to survive, Katie will have to question everyone's motives — even the people she loves.

Dangerous lies is a thriller that tells the story of Katie who's played by Camila Mendes and Adam played by Jessie Usher. They are married to each other but broke with pending student and credit loans. Katie works as a caretaker to a very rich man Leonard, and eventually finds him dead one day. Surprisingly in his will, Katie gets the house. This event creates a whirlwind of problems, with her husband acting secretive, a real estate person acting sketchy, a unconvinced detective and a way too sweet lawyer.
Throughout the movie I kept thinking to myself why was anything happening even to the end there is hardly a thing justified. The story was slow paced and cheap, it honestly felt like... |
