Black-ish is a wonderful show that uses satire to deal with the problems of a black family in a white dominated country. It pokes fun at the daily lives of the Johnson family who are the only black family in their neighborhood. With its fresh and funny plot, the show indirectly instigates the ongoing and past social and political happenings. The show's name is a funny (or more of a punny) way of destroying the certain associations that the society believes are connected to "black" people. It compels the viewers to question the authenticity of many stereotypes associated with the blacks. The show will please you and maybe even make you contemplate about how your racial identity has shaped... |
