Shootout at Alair : Season 1

In 2019, IG Praveen Chand is shocked to hear about a police constable being shot at a point-blank range. This instance reminds him of Akhtar Ahmed, the architect of similar incidents that occurred in 2007. But Akhtar is believed to be dead. Could it be that Akhtar has come back from the dead, or is this another criminal inspired by Akhtar?

Vijendra Prasad survived an attack on his life but lives through the trauma of seeing his colleagues Appaswamy and Veeraswamy shot dead by Akhtar on the 1st and 2nd anniversary of Makkah Masjid Blast respectively.

IG Praveen Chand forms a team to nab the killer. He travels to Punganur in Chittoor district to recruit Selva Kumari, a widow and the wife of constable U. Rakesh who was killed by Akhtar in 2009.

NK Amith IPS, a Hindu fanatic has a personal score to settle with Akhtar, who had threatened to eliminate him. Amith, a suspended deputy offcer now under investigation, is also one of the close confidant of a big politician.

Mohd. Rafi, a photographer by profession, used to work for Akhtar to raise funds for his activities. Now guilt-ridden and conscientious owing to the respect he received from the police, he has turned into an informer.

Octopus DSP Suryanarayana is perceived as a lethargic and unprofessional cop. While he emphasises on following procedures, he turns fiery on coming face-to-face with Akhtar before his arrest.

While SI Rameez celebrates his 1st wedding anniversary, he gets a tip-off about SINI activities who killed a police constable. Though Ramaiah and his small team eliminate them in an exchange of fire, he, unfortunately, succumbs to his injuries too.

The Human Rights Commission summons IG Praveen Chand in Akhtar’s encounter case. Praveen Chand presents proof from his long-standing that can lead to a death sentence for Akhtar.
