The story initially starts with Naitik (Karan Mehra) and Akhshara (Hina Khan) marrying the person chosen by their family. The story showcases the scenario of arranged marriage where, you marry first and love later. Their bond had been unbreakable and journey filled with love. After death of Akhshara, the main focus is set on Naira and Karthik, who love each other and marry with the family's permission. The serial now focuses on balanced living with tradition with touch of modernization.

The story has been successfully running on television for 10 years and still is in top 5.

a clean-plot and peaceful drama with emotions not flowing and going overboard, this is one of the best serial currently slaying on Indian television.
