Shaandaar Review

Shaandaar is about 2 insomniac people, a wedding planner and the sister of the bride to be who find each other. The movie is quirky in the extreme, poking fun at the concepts of arranged marriage and the Big Fat Indian Wedding. And to say that it is extravagant is an understatement. Every thing is over the top in this movie. The performances are adequate with Shahid and Alia cruising more on their cuteness than acting ability. Pankaj Kapur reiterates a version of him seen in 'Matru ki Bijlee ka Mandola' to great effect. The supporting cast hams it up to match the tone of the movie with Sanjay Kapoor being the flag bearer. Not for the regularr movie goer.
