On the Ropes is an American web series by Brat. It revolves around Sonny Mendoza, a high schooler moonlighting as a boxer for money and Jackie Rodriguez, a rebel who thinks the world is against her. The show is essentially the characters' journey and their arc throughout 8 episodes. Both Sonny and Jackie realize the world is not as it seems and the show is filled with beautiful moments of emotion. Just like Zoe Valentine, On the Ropes also handles teenage emotions very well

On The Ropes is a Brat Original American web series. It’s a sports drama which focuses on the life of two teens Sonny Mendoza and Jackie Rodriguez. Sonny is a good student who dreams of being a part of a prestigious college summer program to shape his carrier. But he fails to get the school, so he is searching for ways to earn money. That’s when he turned to his side passion which is boxing for some fast income. On the other hand, Jackie is a kind a rebellious and she keeps on getting expelled from her schools. But later when she loses all her mom’s money in a bet and her mom gets really sick her life changes. In the beginning, I was getting a little bored but as we proceed in the series it really becomes interesting and engaging. The screenplay is nice and the cast did a great job. The series finale was great and eagerly waiting for the next season. It is suitable for a 16+ audience. All the episodes are available on YouTube.

The story line focuses around Jackie and Sonny and their own little personal lives. Jackie is whirling between taking care of her ill mother and studies but winds up into some mischievous things. And Sonny
is trying to get into the best study program but finds himself stuck into financial struggles. together they deal with these problems and try to make it work. At first we can see a chemistry between them and as we move to the other episodes, it starts to take shape. If you want to see a decent story that involves boxing and love story and struggle, you must watch it. It is a "BRAT" original. starring Ryan Garcia and Bella Shepard alongside DangMattSmith and Ava Jules.
