Matchstick Men is a movie about the life of a con artist named Roy Waller who has severe obsessive-compulsive disorder. He works along with his protégé Frank Mercer. One day Roy's daughter shows up and his life starts to change for good. He starts to let his daughter into his life and what happens next will leave you amazed. Nicholas Cage was able to pull off the role of Roy Waller with ease. His acting as an OCD con artist was so believable. Sam Rockwell gives us a good performance as the sidekick of Roy , Frank Mercer. His smooth dialogue delivery and his slick attitude was able to get the job done. Alison Lohman's role as Roy's needy, frustrated teenage Daughter was fantastic too. The cinematography of the movie was very good. The beauty of the cinematography was they were able to capture Roy's OCD moments without leaving out any minute details. The screenplay was written by Ted Griffin and Nicholas Griffin. The construction of the characters were very good and we get a good idea about how the character thinks and how he reacts to different situations. Finally coming to Direction, Ridley Scott has done a good job in bringing out the best of the cast which in turn makes the movie very enjoyable.
