With strong script it would have been good
[contains spoilers]

For any Thriller movie it's script does half the job. Manorama.. lacks there. Ciniematography is good, sandy Rajasthan is well shot. The film starts off well, but, later it doesn't keep it up throughout till the end. It's storytelling instead of being simple is made so complicated that viewer fails to understand what the director is trying to narrate.

Abhay Deol is an exception among Deols, he has mostly done films which are not the regular ones. GulPanag, Sarika, RaimaSen, KulBhushan have done justice to their characters. Vinay Pathak, as he always leaves a mark in the movie, has done in this as well. It's a crazy thing when a cop starts his day on duty with a MALPUA and many such comic moments.

Abhay ..SV who is an ambitious detective writer, but in life a government engineer. As he is frustrated due to his novel Manorama's failure and now have only some cheap magazines to write for. He gets an opportunity to be the real detective for the wife (Sarika) of a politician. She asks him to spy on her husband. Till here film is interesting. Later things go upside down, both in the polt as well as in the narration.

Some things are not clear like reason behind Sarika's murder. To what extent were the photographs relevant? Suddenly how does the mystery get solved?
