Could've been better
[contains spoilers]

Haunted . I never expected a movie of this potential made in India. Though there were some glitches in the movie still as a package it was a great watch.

Strory was nice but illogical and impractical, as they added a time traveling part in it. It was the first 3D movie to be displayed in multiplexes in India. I too watched it in 3D and i swear i was a bit scared, and my being a bit scared means movie was worth being called Haunted.

Tia Bajpai had a small screen experience and was really impressive as Meera. The story revolves around her being raped by her piano teacher, Proff. Iyer(Arif Zakaria) and her committing suicide. A person, Rehan(Mahaakshay Chakraborty)takes interest in her story when he purchases Meera's house 100 years later, feeling connected to the girl encountering her ghost screem at night. To know more and save her he dwells back into time, and fells in love with Meera in the past. For more refer the movie. ;)

The movie is landscaped in the beautiful hills of Ooty. Hill scenery adds to the horror. Dialogues were average, script slow which makes movie slow and boring, story ok, cast average but screenplay was very impressive.

Acting was not at its par. Even the protagonists didn't played their characters as good as they should have. Mahaakshay's performance was really not impressive. He was a new watch and expectations were high from him but he couldn't stand upto the expectations.

Vikram Bhatt as usual was great as a director. He was working with newcomers and adapted accordingly. He was not at fault for movie's weak points.

Lets see what great critics had said -

Taran Adarsh of Bollywood Hungama gave it three and a half stars and concluded that "Haunted is for today's movie savvy audience. It succeeds in keeping you tense and edgy, as a true poltergeist/horror flick should. There are scenes and situations aplenty to shock and astound the viewer coupled with the 3D effects, the prosthetics, the background score, an absorbing screenplay and deft handling of the subject material."

Anupama Chopra of NDTV Movies awarded the film one and a half stars describing it as "an absolutely ridiculous horror movie that works better as comedy, unintentional of course."

It was good watch for. Good and experienced actors could have have raised the level. Newcomers couldn't be blamed. They did what was asked and with their full potential.

I'll finish it with 3 stars.
