Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone Review

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone is a splendid kick-off to the film series-Harry Potter.Directed by Chris Columbus and written by Steve Kloves, this movie based on the novel by J. K. Rowling is sublime.It's the perfect blend of breathtaking visual effects and heart-warming emotional moments.

The plot centers around young Harry Potter(Daniel Radcliffe), an ordinary 11-year-old boy who eventually learns that he is actually a Wizard,and far from 'ordinary', when he gets invited to attend the Hogwarts School for Witchcraft and Wizardry.The film is a beautiful portrayal of the wizardry world originally painted by the genius J.K.Rowling. Action, adventure,magic, friendship, family,comedy,power,love? This fantasy fiction has got it all.

All the characters are introduced into the story in satisfactory ways and there are no surprises to look for as the story of the film is precisely the same as J.K.Rowling's novel.The film was produced by David Heyman and released by Warner Brothers productions.For a duration of 146 minutes, the movie sure seems long.

This film is rated PG because there are violent scenes and it's advisable to watch with parental guidance.The music is an important contributor to the film and John Williams has done a spectacular job.

Introducing us to the Boy who lived and the world of Hogwarts,school of witchcraft and wizardry, the movie meets expections and is a must watch. To be more clear, the movie is truly magical.
