British fantasy-thriller drama film based on Oscar Wilde's 1890 novel The Picture of Dorian Gray.The plot is really interesting and engaging,one of the strongest supernatural elements in this story is the point when Dorian Gray solds his own soul to remain young and charming.The genre of this novel is gothic,and unlike doctor faustus,the antagonist also faces the consequences of his own actions.The striking feature of the plot is that how ironically his own charming portrait act as an protective sheild and keeps on getting tainted for everytime when he commited a sin,parallel to human behaviour can be drawn that how ironically we tried to hide our sins.His flippant pledge: "he would give anything to stay as he is in the picture
