'96 strokes all the right strings of emotions with its artistic subtlety. The 90s, the dying years of the 'simple life' and perhaps the one snapshot in time that most people over 30 today would want to relive forms the premise of this story. And, if you're someone from that era, then be prepared to have the locks of your brain's archives yanked right out! What is more impressive though how even the mumbo jumbo of modernity has been made to appear like the good old times! There was sound sans noise: yes, the sound not noise sound of music, nature, people laughing, talking, crying! Yes, the whole movie seemed serene to calm amidst the emotional storm the lead characters were going through. While Ram the photographer and Janu the vocalist were the leads in physical form. Scene placements, camera angle, brilliant use of lights, choice of great supporting actors and so much more make what would otherwise have been a familiar plot, such a heart tuggingly beautiful one! And VSP (Ram) and Trisha (Janu ❤️): you were like yin and yang, perfectly paired complements of each other. A must watch and non regrettable movie, must watch.
