A movie set in Romania, 4 months 3 weeks and 2 days speaks about the story of two girls, one of them pregnant. Romania has outlawed abortion. And she wants to get aborted while her friend volunteers to help. The film makes us live the life and moments that the characters are living. The beauty of this film is perhaps the subtle ways in which it speaks its politics. The entire movie is filled with patriarchy, of the state and of the society and here are two women who have come out to fight it on their own terms. The movie won Palm de Or at Cannes film festival, very well deserving indeed.
