Grilboss - Yet another distinctive series by Netflix. Characters are strong and consistent . I really like the portrayal of Bad-ass women/girls who could act gross but still motivate you, just like any of the men-centric startup shows. There is one more flip here with comedy, its very subtle and feminist (the site launch graph was just unexpected)
I couldn't help comparing its story essence with a sitcom 2 Broke Girls , though definitely this TV show is more grounded drama with timelines and backstories. The title says it all, but that is not the only reason that would keep you hooked.
The conversations are very entertaining and yet very simple and realistic representing any millennial girl, I wished there were some thought provoking dialogues too, just to make it more bad-ass. I wish it would have it in forthcoming seasons. This season was very fluffy and casual even though with some major twists that went lightly.
I saw entire season in a go, it felt like watching a chick-flick movie but with good story lines and characters.
I think that Girlboss is step-up in the feminist series, moving ahead of romance and comedy .
