Nawaz at his best.
Nawazuddin Siddiqui in and as Thackeray, is a biopic made on the ShivSena leader Bala Saheb Thackeray. The film is directed by Abhijit Panse.

Nawaz has done fantastic job. He is apt for the role. Amrita Rao is doing simply good in the film. Supportive cast has been good, too.

Film is about the journey of a cartoonist Bala Tackeray till he became the Tiger of Maharashtra. The court room scene is fantastically shot and performed. You will forget that he is Nawaz in the getup of Saheb.

The walk on beach at sunset by Thackeray is the best scene of the film. With subtle and dramatic dialogues, the film holds you from start to end. Though, first half is little bit slow to get bored. There are scenes of speeches by Saheb, which are nicely done.

I find the background music very well made. The perfect amount of tunes make the scenes worthy enough to get involved. Also, VFX is done superbly. All will surely appreciate the Thackeray pose in Maharasthra map along with a roaring tiger.

I miss songs in this film. May be songs could have added more pleasure, or even relief in first half. However, the title plus promotional song is good though.

On the whole, witness Nawaz playing Bala Saheb, if you love either of them or both of them. It is good in parts, gripping and enjoyable. And this is not the end, film stops at a point where the screen says- to be continued.

Sara delivers a fine debut in Kedarnath
Abhishek Kapoor is back again with a love story, based in Kedarnath. Starring Sushant Singh Rajput and Sara Ali Khan as lead, this film is Sara's debut film. So all eyes are on her. And the story is also about the flood which happened in 2013, where many lost their everything!

Film is a love story of a pithhu muslim guy with a dauther of a Pandit. Both stay there up in the valley. The story goes softly in the first half. And second half is full of drama. I think there are some unnecessary scenes in the entire movie. But it never becomes boring at any point of time. The flood sequence in the last 20 something minutes are superb. Though VFX could have been better. But you can enjoy the visuals which're threatening.

One scene of water flowing over the main temple had got me the biggest goosebump in recent times. My screen was housefull. And everyone was watching with a pin drop silence in the hall. The film, which is going stronger because of the word of mouth from audiences, as people feel amazing to see those last portion in theaters.

Sara Ali Khan makes her shining debut here. She will probably get all awards of best debut female. She looks stunning in all salwars. Especially in that red salwar in Qafirana song. However, I want to ask the costume designer that why her character doesn't wear any sweater or jacket or shawl despite having seated in Kedarnath! ?

Sushant Singh Rajput is good. Not great or anything! I only liked him in that climax scene. Neetesh Bhardwaj is fine. Others are good. The Baba at valley is superfine!

Music is above average. Amit Trivedi has given the music. Starting with Namo Namo, the cinematography is superb. Qafirana, JaanNisaar and Sweethear are nicely written songs. So, first time I am listening to Amitabh Bhattacharya's lyrics who are greater than music. Wow. Arijit Singh always rocks in any film!

Story is by Kanika Dhillon and Abhishek Kapoor. I would say they could have created more depth in characterisation. We can't feel for them. It could have been made a better film. Also didn't like the cliche helicopter scene. ? Dialogues are not good, as I can sense that the heroine is not a Pandit girl in real but a muslim girl, beacause of her accent. Sushant is having lesser urdu words than Sara. This could have to be done rightly.

I have been there at Kedarnath four years before this tragedy happened. I have seen the beautiful valleys. I have experienced the cold out there. And more of the above, the holyness of the temple and its surrounding. So, I went to watch this film to revisit Kedarnath. However, it is impossible for anyone to showcase look a like Kedar on screen of before the year 2013. This team have tried their best. But how can I be so amazed with this world in the movie!

On the whole, you should definitely go for this film. Because Sara has given fine performance and location needs eyesights. Watch this film in theaters only, because you can't watch it at home anyday! This film is happened to be seen on big screens. Not great, not bad. But, surely watchable.

Shankar has done it again! Hands Down!
First of all, let me clear one thing that I am not anyone's diehard fan here from this film. I am a diehard fan of an entertaining film, irrespective of its cast, language and country. Though, being an Indian, I feel connected with Indian movies more. So, when I came to know about the biggest project of Indian Cinema, which is 2.0, I got excited. I even went to watch the teaser of it in nearest PVR Cinemas just because it's in 3D. I was not very happy after seeing the teaser. It didn't look like a 500cr+ movie at all. Then I saw its trailer. It had wonderful background score by A.R. Rahman, but the freshness or you can say the feeling was missing in visuals. Many were laughing at 2.0 that it'll going to be an another bad experience just like Thugs. Having all of these in my mind, I went to watch it Today.

Believe me, my ticket price got redeemed in the very first minute of the film. Yes, you read it right. Before even any scene, my money got redeemed. How! It's just that the titles have wonderful 3D effects which no one has ever seen it in any movie. If you can watch it in 4DX, please go for it. Unfortunately, no shows are in 4dX here. In normal 3D also, the film looks stunning. Don't miss it in 3D!

The film has one very good thing, which is- entertaining screenplay. Shankar has done his job absolutely fantastic. He has written atmost entertaining screenplay for 2.0. Film never looses you even for a second. Abbas Tyrewala has written Hindi dialogues, and they are really good.

The second half starts with an emotional sequence. From where the film will lead us to the action sequences in the climax. All I can say is that emotional sequence could have been made better, but whatever is there, can be enjoyed fully. We can be able to see Akshay Kumar in a different role. Amyjackson looks stunning as Neela. She plays her part effectively.

Then comes the man, the Thalaiva, Superstar Rajnikanth. He is outstanding. There is a surprise factor of him as well. You are gonna love him. Also, don't miss the post credit scene after Tu Hi Re song. It has the best character of this film in it! It is hard to believe but there is no song in the film, like in the south Indian film! Actually, there is no space for any song, and I'm very glad that they did not push anything randomly. Just a Kailash Kher song is there in the background, which is likable because of its story telling and visuals.

The after effect of 2.0 is very personal. You have to keep the lesson which this film is giving out. Earth is not only for humans, so we don't have any rights to treat her badly. This film strongly has the potential to be an international level movie. And thus, it will make Indian Cinema proud.

For Shankar, the man who always discovers new things on celluloid, who has guts to create this type of epic, who has absolutely high visions that can never be matched, you have to see this film in 3D. Else, you will regret. For Shankar only, you can not rate this film. Because after seeing the film, you will feel proud that this film has been made in your country. Hands down!

Haunting
This film is about a two year old girl getting trapped alone in the apartment along with the dead body of her mother lying on the bed. And it's based on a true story!

Curiosity generates when its trailer shocked everyone. However, the film is not excellent or mind blowing. I found that it is just an extended version of the trailer. It is not a bad film, it's a good film, but not the mind-blowing one.

Though, this film has to be told through cinema because it taught us how to live properly if you have a child. One mistake can led you to the trench. You will definitely gain something out of it.

The microwave shot was damn new thing. For me it was the best part of the film. However, I was feeling dizzy? in that moment because of the movement of camera.

The actor, Pihu, has done fantastic job. This can be the first film where you see just one actor on screen throughout the run time. Kudos to the makers for creating such cinema.

On the whole, Film asks for your patience. May be only parents will adore or enjoy this fully. Also, if you have newly born baby, or there babies around you, don't watch it now. Because it will haunt you for days and night. It is an eye opener for people living in high society and don't know how to maintain relationship after having a baby. Go and watch this to experience a new thing! And those who have weak hearts, avoid it.

Indian Entertainer!
What a year is 2018 for Bollywood! The content based films are recognized and appreciated by larger mumber of audience. This year is wonderful for Ayushmann Khurrana, as his two films (Both released in October itself) are getting great reviews and B.O. collection. Though, Andhadhun came on 5th October, it is unusual that these two Ayushamann starrer films are competing each other, as no other film is as good as these two.

Badhaai Ho is the film whose trailer raised the bar and everyone was expecting it to be a Hit. Film shows exactly what its trailer offers. Though, audience is very happy with this comedy drama. Story is fantastic and very unique. Ayushmann (Nakul)'s mother got pregnant (played by Neena Gupta), and this is not the normal thing. Neither for Ayush and his brother, nor for his grandmother, nor for his girlfriend and her mother, & nor for the society! Film deals with this issue in an organic way possible, and gives out best example that whatever happens, you need your family and family needs your support.

Sanya Malhotra looks so pretty! It's her 3rd film after Dangal and Patakha, and I love her in every film. Gajraj Rao plays the father of Nakul with such an ease. This film will get him the recognition he deserves. Neena Gupta plays her part brilliantly. The pair looks so perfect with each other. Best one is Daadi-Sa, Surekha Sikri. She is too good. Her dialogues in the second half will make you cry. I heard many saying they cried in the second half. And I guess it's because of her. Sheeba Chaddha is also good as Sanya's mother.

Film delivers the perfect humour which this kind of film requires. Some scenes are beautifully taken without any dialogues, but just with expressions. There are many moments when you will laugh out loud. Although, the love-story portion in the second half could have been more filmy and entertaining. It is there as a simple and good-going story. Though, it definitely is not boring from any point of time. For this, writers deserve applause, which are Akshat Ghildial, Jyoti Kapoor and Shantanu Srivastava.

Amit Sharma is the director of this film. It is his debut film. He looks promising. It will surely going to be a hit. And hence, hoping for more good work from him in his upcoming works.

This film is having the best suitable background score which a comedy film is supposed to have. There are not much songs. The title track is funny. 'Maari thi Missed call, lekin ho gaya Answer hi!' There is one super romantic track as well. And how can I forget the lullaby in the climax, where the film ends with the sweetest way possible!

Go and watch this film with your family. It is not a taboo topic which can't be seen with your parents. Try out and be modern like an educated man/woman should have to. And, oh, yes, I forget to mention about Ayushmann's performance... Well, I think since his first film he is doing his job great! So, Bollywood ko Ayushmann ki Badhaai Ho.

Beleive me it's a Bollywood film!
Sriram Raghvan is back with his mind-blowing style of film-making. I love his work, no one can deny that he is the best in the kind of cinema he makes. If you are unaware of him, just come out to see this the most entertaining film of Bollywood this year!

I would suggest that don't watch the trailer of the movie. Just go with open mind. Film is about a blind piano player, played by Ayushmann Khurrana. Sofie, played by Radhika Apte, meets him accidentally and offers him a job at her cafe. And the story begins... I am not gonna write anything further, because each thing after this is so special for any viewer that he will 100% forget real life and be there with Ayush till the last frame.

So, it is obvious that you will get to hear lot's of piano tunes in the film. Each one speaks out perfectly. Amit Trivedi has given the sound which this kind of film needs. All songs and their lyrics are perfectly suitable to the story. My favorite is Dil Ke Dil Mein!

Great camerawork at required points. Also, I would like to mention that there are many POVs, which actually create humour. This is how the thriller becomes humourous as well as entertaining. This could be a new experience for all Indian movie viewers.

Radhika Apte has nice and small role. Manav vij is superb. His 1st scene was tremendous and unexpected. I can hear it now too when I came on screen the audience said 'Ohh Shit!' Actually, there is another scene as well where we get 'Oh Shit!' from our mouths. Hat's off for writing these scenes! Other supportive cast is good.

Tabu is lady Macbeth. She is gorgeous, sexy, unpredictable, bold and dreadful. She is as usual fantastic. Anil Dhawan is superb too in his role. His old footage have been used wisely. How can I forget to mention this song- Teri Galiyon Mein Na Rakhenge Kadam! Ashwini Kalsekar plays her role superbly in her given slot.

It is very easy to say this after watching AndhaDhun, that this is the career best film of Ayushmann as well as Sriram. Both have done splendid job. Both will make many fans after this. Though both are already successful! This film will surely give the credit which Sriram Raghavan deserves from audience. It is going to be a smash hit. It will also going to hit in all awards of this year. Many are saying that it is the best Bollywood film of this year!

At the end, let me tell you that when I was watching the film with 50 random people in hall, all were reacting exactly as I was reacting. There were claps, smiles, laughs and the most important- Satisfaction on every face! After a long time, the film is there in cinema-hall which actually can make you seat on the edge... that too throughout! Must see...anyhow!

Feel good Indian film
Sharat Katariya and team is back after the most unusual film as well as very successful film called Dum Laga Ke Haisha. This time they are coming with another unique topic.

Mauji (Varun Dhawan) is an uneducated man, who works for a shop. The owner treats him like a dog. One day his wife Mamta (Anushka Sharma) finds out this and feels bad and insulted. Mauji leaves that job and starts his grandfather's business and love, that is tailoring. Although, he is too good in this thing, his father is unhappy with this profession because it is not a trustworthy profession. How they are being treated after creating unique gowns for patients at Hospital is where the change takes place.

Varun Dhawan is good as Mauji. Many men of India can be able to relate to him. I personally feel that Varun could have performed much better than this. Anushka Sharma shines in her new look in saree. Her emotions are pitch perfect. She has done a great job very nicely. Raghubir Yadav has played his part finely. Other supporting cast is superb, too. Namit Das as Guddu is item bomb. I mean, he comes and blasts and audience too get connected with him from the very first second.

Music is given by Anu Malik and lyrics have been penned by Varun Grover. Songs are good in the mood of film. I know, there are no hit songs here. But each song is soulful for sure. Papon's voice decorates the beautiful song Chaav Laga. The title song by Divya Kumar at the ramp walk is the song of the film. After getting ended, it stays with you for a long time.

Sharat Katariya is a good director. He knows how to deal with soft subjects with great emotions and that too with proper Indie touch. This film is going to be a hit for sure. Even the marketing team of this film have done extremely good things of promoting tailors across India. Sui-Dhaaga is definitely a must watch film with family.

Liked the way it is being edited. There are no boring scenes at all. It has humour, emotions and a very good thought. Indian should use products made in India. We are capable of producing, in fact we are producing, it is just that we have to start using and accepting our products. Feel proud to use Indian products.

Dreams are cool, but dreamer is a fool. This is what we feel about any young thinker. Let's give them a chance to work on their dreams, it may happen that some best work will come out that will give pride to them as well as whole country. Go for Sui Dhaaga, Made in India.

Feel good film!
'Love stories are always epic!'
This time, Anurag Kashyap is behaving like a 2.0 version director and thus he made Manmarziyaan. The love triangle is set in Amritsar with Robbie, Rumi and Vicky!

Rumi played by Taapsee and Vicky Sandhu played by Vicky Kaushal are having very serious affair. They do Fyaar like mad lovers. When the family of Rumi came to know about them, Rumi asks Vicky to come for asking her hand. Somehow it doesn't happen. Meanwhile, her family finds a boy to do arranged marriage, which is played by Abhishek (Robbie). The fight between Fyaar and Pyaar begins. But what does Rumi do in choosing her life partner is what this film is about.

The essence is similar to like we had seen in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. We can see variety in the film because of Anurag. The concept of two silent girls showcasing the inner feelings of Rumi is very well used. Anurag made this movie to earn box-office figures which his movies didn't get any. But when I went for the first show, there were just 3 people in the capacity of 400 seats. That is awful! People should be ashamed of themselves. Feeling sorry for Anurag that his commercial attempt will never be a commercial success.

Biggest plus point is the pairing of Vicky Kaushal and Taapsee Pannu. Both have done great in this year itself. Both have delivered strong performances. No one else can be as strong as them. While Abhishek Bachchan is back after two years. That is why we can see him doing good on screen. Three are fine enough to spend some bucks on them this week.

Amit Trivedi is very underrated music composer. He has given many classic songs and albums. This one is being added to the Good Album list. Film is having 14 songs. Each song is required in the film. Songs which you have to listen are Daryaa, Dhyaanchand, Grey walaa shade, F for Fyaar, Chonch ladhiyaan & Jaisi teri marzi. Lyrics by Shelle is superb. 'Satluj Mein Ek Samndar Naache!'

Kanika Dhillon has written script, story and dialogues. Fresh writing is what people are appreciating in this film. Every confused lover should watch this film to open up about his or her Manmarziyaan.

On the whole, Anurag has made a delightful and watchable movie. Somehow post interval portion is slow compare to first one. Also, we can see the influence of Imtiaz Ali in the Honeymoon trip in Kashmir. Watch out this feel-good film for strong performances and Amit-Anurag combination.

Go with your eyes closed and let this film open you up completely!
Adapted from the Persian narrative poem- Layla and Majnun, this film is presented by Imtiaz Ali and produced by Ekta Kapoor and Preety Ali, starring Avinash Tiwari and Tripti Damri in lead. Laila Majnu is directed by Sajid Ali, while written by Imtiaz and Sajid.

Film is based in Kashmir. How a girl named Laila (Tripti), a typical flirt and filmy girl, finds her love interest in a rich-spoiled man Qais, is the startup of the film. But there is an issue regarding their fathers, so the marriage seems to be impossible. What will happen next in their lives that leads them in to the state of Laila-Majnu, is the thing to look out for.

Imtiaz Ali said in his interview that the music in Laila Majnu film should not have to be average, or below averag. Despite having unknown names in music credit, we are having one of the best albums of this year. Niladri Kumar and Joi Barua have given absolutely pure music which fits perfectly into the story as well as in Kashmir. Not only that, but the lyrics have been penned by Irshad Kamil. Thus, songs are literally talking to us so much while in the film, (or even after the movie, too!) and make us fall in love with the story. All songs are incredible. Ahista is the one song I will remember for giving me one of the strongest goosebumps ever. Laila, Tu, Sarphiri - all are fantastic. While in Hafiz song, the memory of Sadda Haq pops up in the mind. In fact, there are many portions when we went to that stages which we had seen in Imtiaz Ali's films. And somehow I know why!

Because, the transition is important in every film of Ali. While, here we are seeing possibly the biggest transition a man can have, like Qais to Majnu. This is where the film goes beyond the expectations, beyond the reach of our mental state, beyond all the boundaries. And it becomes the must see film. But only for those who believe in Imtiaz and his stories, or in poetic explanations, or in purity which love brings.

Laila a.k.a. Tripti is beautiful, adorable and truthful to her lover as well as her father. Though both are newcomers, the story and performance is such that we can feel for them. I found Avinash as Qais like average. But when he returned in the second half as Majnu is mind blowing. Every reviewer has mentioned about him and his performance. Because, he has done his part brilliantly. The complexity of Majnu has been implanted magically. Namaaz scene in that portion speaks a lot. Whole review can be written on that scene only, because it says a lot. Add one more plus point, which I completely forgot was the beautiful Kashmir. There are many scenes, but don't miss the first scene after interval. Magic is awaiting for you in theaters.

Kudos to Sajid Ali. Actually, the first half was not so great. It was just good. The things happening there which eventually lead the film to its most dramatic exploitation, were not to be missed. It looks like that there is nothing, but when the story strikes you, you feel for every bit of the film. If you are going for this one, go with open mindset. Close your eyes before the film, and let the film open your eyes as well as you completely. It will become your most valuable experience.

I don't care about box-office numbers. Even the makers of this film do not care, too. Art can never be perfect, that too in its purest form. This film is a pure art which makes it an imperfect one. If it is perfect, it can't be true love. Feel the madness of true love.

Horror Comedy + Though + Entertainment
The year 2018 is the best year for releasing new genre film in Bollywood. This Friday, three films had released in Gujarat, in which this Horror-Comedy film Stree is the best watch.

Directed by Amar Kaushik, it is produced by Dinesh Vijan and Raj-Dk. While, Raj & DK are writers of it. Starring Rajkumar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Aparshakti Khurrana & Pankaj Tripathi, Stree stands out as a winner.

Stree is based on the Indian urban legend, Nale Ba(don't come here) & Repu Ra (come back tomorrow). In the film, the story is about Chanderi and its ghost called Stree. She comes every year during the Pooja festival to take the revenge of her death and unsatisfied desires. So, these four nights are crucial for the people of Chanderi, as Stree attacks on men and takes them with her. The most common method to keep a Stree at bay, is to write a chant on the walls of the house, saying, “O Stree, Kal Aana”, which roughly translates to asking the spirit to come tomorrow, and when she does, she reads the chant again, making it a never-ending process. A house without this chant on its walls, has its men in danger as the spirit will definitely come for them. Who is this stree? What is her purpose? Why is she doing this? And what experiences have been faced by Rajkumar and others are the questions which have been answered in the film.

What can one say about Rao's performance! I mean, in every movie, he is going as strong as he can. And we are facing shortage of words describing him and his craft. Aparshakti and Pankaj Tripathi are as usual best. They will make sure that you will laugh out loud when they act. There is a cameo of Vijay Raaz as well. Shraddha is looking superb in the film. What is she playing, that I'm not gonna answer here!

Dialogues are fabulous. They're like cherry on the cake. Because there are some cuss words which have been mute, but then you can get it too. And which add the reality of characters in scary situation, like at the palace where Stree lives in. There you must have not behaved like a decent person. Kudos to the writers, from bringing a film based on this type of modern folklore. I am already impressed with them from Go Goa Gone itself. This is going to be a sure hit, will be remembered as a good film in their kitty. Though, the bus scene in the end brings out so many questions in my mind, will surely discuss with anyone about it. Or if possible, I would like to ask Raj & DK about it.

Music department is good. Though, the songs are not pushing the story ahead. That's why no songs in second half. Aao Haveli Pe suits perfectly. Kamariya and Dil Ka Darzi are watchable in the film. I have read some reviews saying that songs are minus point. But, hello, there are not a single whole song. 2 min song in between scenes, that too like there are just 3 songs, is fair enough.

This is the first movie of Amar Kaushik. After the so called struggle of 12 years, I'm happy for you that you made this film! Apart from horror and comedy, there are many scenes which tell the thought behind making this, or what to gain from this one. Especially, the last scene or the scene where men are so frightened by Stree that they're roaming in the city wearing saree, or staying at home. The reverse effect- I liked this scene so so much. The world is men dominating, but Stree should not be taken granted. Whatever upgrade versions we get for our gadgets, if our mindsets are not updating, we will become dinosaur soon.

Kudos to the whole team of Stree. Must watch. Scary, funny, thought provoking and the best part - Entertaining!
