La Fortuna : Season 1

Somewhere in the middle of the ocean, Captain Frank Wild finds a treasure inside an old sunken frigate, at the bottom of the sea. Meanwhile, Alex Ventura is struggling to adapt to his new job at the Ministry of Culture, unaware that his life is about to change.

Alex begins a race against time to identify the sunken ship and prove that the treasure fund by Wild was in fact plundered from the Spanish frigate called “La Fortuna”. For this goal, he will receive the invaluable help of Lucía, his partner on this mission, a feisty and outspoken colleague at the ministry, and that of Jonas Pierce, a brilliant American lawyer... and sworn enemy of Frank Wild.

While Wild undertakes a media campaign to win over public opinion, Alex, Lucía and Jonas focus on the only thing that would enable them to prove the stolen treasure was the one hidden in La Fortuna: they need to get the inventory of the Pioneer, no matter what.

Alex and Lucía travel to Atlanta to meet with Jonas and attend the beginning of the trial that will eventually determine the legitimate ownership of the treasure. They will have to use all of their wit and resources to persuade the judge and surmount Frank Wild’s mischievous schemes.

Alex travels to Washington in order to monitor the end of the case and coordinate the return operation of the treasure. However, he knows the risk is not over yet: if there’s someone capable of playing his cards and fighting to the very end, that is Frank Wild.

Although Alex is on the verge of recovering the treasure, at long last, Wild does not give up and obstructs the delivery and shipment of the coins in every possible way: crossing the state of Georgia carrying 500 million dollars in gold heading for Spain will not be an easy task.
